I got back into DD2 a couple days ago after dropping it for a while once I beat Denial in the first week of early access. I'm honestly really happy with the current state of the game, new enemies/encounters have been interesting and the combat feels great. Relationships aren't the be-all and end-all of every run but they can still effect combat with cool synergies. Reynauld is back now too, which is a big plus.

I get that not everyone fucks with it considering the change in gameplay loop, but I'm honestly enjoying the combat way more than DD1's. No more stun spam is nice, and the hero paths add a lot more depth to the characters. I'm looking forward to the Kingdoms update, seems like Abom is gonna be the next to return.

The Reworked Paths are good, but the one's without Reworked paths are still pretty unbalanced. Alchemist Plague Doctor is insane and out damages all other PDs while also out heals them through preventing damage in the first place.
The Stun thing is a bit eh~ 50/50 for me, Red Hook Clearly wanted to go for faster combat in order to compliment the rogue-like slay the spire nature of the game, but removing stall options made the game alot more of a damage race then ever before. It's the opposite of BR in that regard BR wants you to take your time and added a set-up round while DD2 wants you to go fast.
To me, a lot of my problems with the combat goes back to that, normal combat feels like a damage race while most bosses feel like they're just cleave+stress bots.
Honestly, I don't hate the game, it just doesn't draw my attention like DD1 does.

Tell me you havn't played the game with out telling me you havn't.

Skin color is literally meaningless for heroes, as quite a few of them have Palettes colors that turn them black if you want that. So it's purely a cosmetic choice. Hell there even a free DLC that has a "new" hero that just a white reskin of one of the black characters.

Name another game where you can turn the guy who whips himself with whip/morningstar hybird black?

AND YET YOU FIND A PROBLEM WITH THERE BEING FEMALES IN THE GAME WHO CAN TAKE MORE THEN 1 HIT.

We have literal fucking Blood sucking aristocrats, FUCKING SPACE METH MONSTER INFECTION, FISH PEOPLE and all other kinds of horrors that doesn't belong in 1500-600 england, But Ohhhhhh Females in a tank role, and 1 token black women who skin you can't turn white is too much.

The Owner of WCD seems like a glowie/massive retard if all it takes to be added to the list is easily argued against points.

I've always enjoyed bursting through fights more than playing super control heavy so maybe my style just gels more with the game. The bosses suck though 100%, no question from me. Infinite hand Leviathan is fucking retarded.

This feels like a borderline Poe's Law situation where I can't tell if this guy is serious or just trying to intentionally smear more useful groups like SBI detected.

Also, it's funny that DD is now fully defended, because for a time, sad sacks like Bikini Armor Battle Damage bitched that the Vestal and Arbalest had boob armor and that it was so sexist.

i'm calling retard that wants to get famous like SBI detected by spamming reviews, a quick glance and i see that all of his negative reviews start with the phrase "contains overtly x messaging", no elaboration beyond vague/supercicial statements and an overreliance on the "full" reviews that are just threads that have little to no activity, can be called a bit of a red flag.

speaking of this, if you give a look at the review he complains that there's "multiple" frontliners that are female heroes, but if you look at the heroes themselves it's mostly bullshit since:
  1. the only "true" female frontliners* are hellion and shieldbreaker respectively speaking, tldr is that hellion is a slot 1 specialist that can spec for dodge or health tanking, while shield shines in a pseudo dodge pbs-esque setup.
  2. antiquarian, grave robber and technically the vestal are hybrids due to their quaint setups (anti can do setups with HWM, or can simply spam dodge buffs/debuffs in the back, grave is a frog girl or a dodge tank, vestal can just do divine comfort spam on rank 2 with high prot tanking or just spam both heal skills + her stun on rank 4)
  3. arbalest/musketter is anything but a frontliner, she has no skills that let her exist on a rank below 3.
both the thread poster and this curator have not paid any attention to this game to begin with, if he was going for the workshop/official discord then he'd have been correct in calling it a trannified shitfest, but the base game does not meet the criteria to call it an SBI game, even if there's quirks that make your heroes faggots/dykes.

*by frontliner i mean an hero that has its hardest hitting moves in the first two rows, and has either good dodging capabilities (HWM, houndmaster, antiquarian) or has an high amount of hp to work with (crusader, leper, man at arms)

I wonder if it's a purposeful false flag operation given how vague the the statements are, and how much they trust any old joe who makes a thread with out doing research themselves or thinking , or just a matter of Woke Derangement Syndrome.

Like There a point where you have to start thinking for yourself when it comes to this stuff. Not everything is DEI, or Woke nonsense, there is nuance like with DD1, and we can easily see these people are so mega enraged by anything they deem woke, are just as retarded as the left with TDS.

This is why Critcal thinking skills matter for both sides.

Sorry ,I don't post here often and Yes DBD is that game,there even is a upcoming drag queen costume pack coming to the game in the future if Im not mistaken.

The only thing Arbalest can even do in the front two ranks is a 0 damage "attack" that removes some debuffs, an attack that hits a completely random enemy or, and what you're usually forced to do, waste a turn to move back to be able to do anything useful.

Darkest Dungeon 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. 2 not so much, but it's still fun. You will never get the rush of going in to extremely high difficulty dungeons with your fleshy insane damage sponges with shitty quirks, diseases, and afflictions from any other game. Fuck I've ripped max resolve perfectly curated parties by sheer stupidity and almost put a hole in my monitor. I love this game and I only have 528.2 hours on steam.

as again i call it a possibility, not a certanity, if the tranny behavior stays away from dd2 and just sticks in the wasteland that will be dd2 modding then it's a nothingburger, dd1 is definitely in the clear since they stopped caring about that game two years ago.
