I was surprised by how manipulative Phil was. I guess I shouldn't be considering his history of justification and blame shifting, but it was interesting to see the little cogs in his brain whirring as he tried to press Josh on his board, with an eye specifically to get him to take it down. I think he sensed weakness Josh said he had considered removing the board, and you could see him try one line of attack, be rebuffed, and then return at a different angle. I think 3 times? Not trying to gatekeep Phil or anything, there's a lot of Phil lore to know. I think Phil is sort of unique as, unlike with other lolcows, there's not really one defining incident you can point to that makes Phil a cow. With someone like Keffals or Boogie or Bossman, they tend to have like, one or two major defining moments that made them a cow. But even Phil's most infamous moment, jerking off on stream, isn't really what made him a lolcow and is honestly one of his more "innocent" moments in the grand scheme of things. IMO Phil's biggest problem is he sucks at video games and this has solidified him as a lolcow more than anything else. Phil may not be the worst gamer online, but I can't think of anyone who else can do this full-time six days a week and be this bad. TIHYDP wouldn't even exist were he just a fraction better at gaming than he is. The lack of common sense, critical thinking, poor reflex and inability to adapt are just some of his attributes from game play that also spill into his RL.

One example is Phil can't adapt in fighting games against stronger opponents. Likewise, he has never adapted to the algorithm so he is stuck using the same content distribution uploading multiple un-edited parts of game play which makes them weak for "on demand" viewing. 5) He's very jealous and bitter. His "gaming news" is either reveling in companies or people failing or
complaining that someone is successful who shouldn't be. No one is allowed to make money but Phil.

But what ties it together is that he has zero self-awareness that he acts this way. Which is, in the end, what makes someone a true lolcow.
