Not sure if this has already been discussed, but I'm wondering how Phil is planning to make up for the potential money he'll be losing from missing streams due to filming for the documentary. He always acts as if missing a single stream is a huge financial loss for him, so if that's the case (we of course know it isn't), then missing multiple streams would put him in some kind of huge hole that would take him many months to get out of, like when he missed those streaming days due to "covid".
Is there a chance Mike might just straight up pay him for his time while filming the documentary? Perhaps he'll pick up the DoorDash tab for a week or two so he can still say "Phil Burnell was not paid for this documentary"? Maybe they have something worked out where Phil will get part of the ad revenue of the documentary after it's out?
I can't imagine Phil just accepting that he'll have to do a few less Hogan pulls. He has to have some sort of "plan" in mind other than cranking up the begging another level, right? Although the turbo begging will be happening either way.
BTW, I recall Mike came by one of Phil's streams and dropped $20 (someone here noticed it and posted about it)before the documentary plans became public, so it's clear he had no problem throwing money at Phil, although I doubt he or Phil will be up front about it if that is happening.

There's so many documentaries and detractor channels that already cover him, where do you even begin? Phil's been around for so long it's hard to really summarize. It also depends on what kind of story you want to tell. The things people really care about the most are his stubbornness to change, his narcissism, his poor finances, the way he treats his fans, and the never ending begging. There is no way Phil will ever let Mike at any of his personal information. Boogie is an open book. Phil tries to lock it down like Fort Knox. You're not going to get any information about his finances, he'll never show you his phone until he's given a chance to scrub it clean. He'll never reveal information about his mod team and the dents who support him. He holds that information tight so he can use it against them if they ever go rogue. Phil thinks so highly of himself, he truly is a cult leader. He believes he can do no wrong, and every little slight against him even if it's not is the gravest sin. He will abuse his audience publicly if they don't tow the line. Phil is a liar, and a manipulator. The moment Phil even suspects that you might say something negative about him he will clam up and shut you out completely.

My advice if you really want to go down this rabbit hole is to stroke Phil's ego. It's the only way he's ever going to let you get close enough. You play by his rules or not at all. Get ready to beat your head against a brick wall trying to get anything out of the guy. Do not tell him any of your plans because he will get defensive if he hears something he doesn't like. Reach out to some of his biggest detractors and let the people who really follow him tell you the truth. If you can talk to Keemstar, Review tech USA, Memeology 101, Secret Limited, It'sAGundum, The Sidescrollers, John Rambo & Howard, just to name a few.

Phil has such a long past now with so many characters and events I could fill a whole page. Good luck compiling it all

I'd imagine he'll take a step back and turn it into an examination of the entire sphere instead of trying to be "yet another DSP documentary, but better." It's obvious he can't do that and will most likely lean more towards a "biopic documentary" than an "investigative documentary." Think "the Devil & Daniel Johnston" rather than a "Tickled," if you're familiar with those two films.

Think "the Devil & Daniel Johnston"
Now there's a guy who was a proto-lolcow for all the reasons good and bad he'd be my #2 choice for someone who should get a thread if the timing was better right behind Richmond VA's public access superstar and gods gift to women Gorgeous George who I'm fairly certain is Phil's actual dad they're both fat obnoxious narcissistic losers who are obsessed with their public image the difference is George wasn't as much as a control freak with chat because his show was call in.

Edit: Comma has a better clip above, timestamp around 12:19 in the 7th January prestream.

What if he does it on purpose? Obviously an empty threat, but he has to convince his dents, 1MM sent him ANOTHER message to not do it.

I hope you've got some decent lawyers, @mikeclum, because if DSP decides something in the documentary is not true, YOU'RE LIABLE. He wants you to know that.
Does Phail even have money for a lawsuit?
I'm late, but a tip for the documentary itself, try to get Phil, his family or friends to talk about the past or info we don't have, if you try to go for a day-to-day routine like boogie, you're gonna get boring results because dsp does almost nothing with his life besides shutting himself in his soapbox and play video games. I would also suggest getting analysts to tell why Phil is so disliked like what you did with Boogie, it's going to benefit newcomers who don't know much about him.

I haven't said anything in this thread about it, but this is who you're dealing with @mikeclum.

This is how much of a fuckin' narcissist he is my dude. He has to have it be the most blatant bullshit Kim Jong masterpiece for the publics about him.

What makes you think he is the one who is going to pay for it? OIC better step up.

I would like to know if they have any IRL friends, both of them. I've always thought that his alien way of speaking in circles is due to him never having a group of dudes he is friends with. He has never been hanging out with men or women for that regard.

Clips like this convince me that he finally read the contract he signed and saw that the "final cut creative control" he bragged about having inVAHLVes him deciding whether the documentary will show either his weekly grocery store waddle or his visit to a local restaurant slop dispensary.

I think it's important to remember that Phil is a pathological liar and a moron.

DSP talking about how Mike Clum would be liable or that he has final cut is very likely him reassuring himself. Even his handful of remaining supporters see the obvious disaster ahead, but DSP can never be wrong, so doing this documentary must be a good idea. He's going to convince himself and anyone listening that he has all the power in this situation, when it's far more likely he has little to none.

I'm still skeptical about this documentary, because giving a lying narcissist the ability to react to what other people say about him (not even in person, which might have been interesting) is useless. Phil does everything right; everyone else screws him over. We've heard it over and over. It's practically the slogan of his channel.

I just don't think the failure of this documentary will be because Clum gave too much control to Phil. That would be a DSP level mistake.

here we go again, his ego is deflating and his farts aren't giving him this same high it used to. I see things like this and I kinda think Mike buttered this pig up kissing his ass probably promising "a wedding in Venice" so piggy would go along with it now he's getting cold hooves, the high of someone giving him attention and promising him something he loves more than money and men, attention and validation is wearing off.

he did this with SS, He went from how he's going to be part of the show regularly and he was a huge get for them as a long time friend of what ever the fuck his name was to a tiny moment of self-realization that he's a pos with no redeeming qualities.

don't worry by day stream tomorrow he'll be high off his own farts again and this will be netfli..no HBO like documentary, you know like Pignoyble.

Important to note that DSP also set up all of the conditions for the Sidescroller interview. He chose who was going to interview him, he chose to stay that long, he chose to divulge and answer as much as he felt like. He also chose to bring up Kat’s restraining order completely unprompted.

Like so many have said, Phil is a fat gay retard and would find a way to make himself look bad if he filmed and edited everything himself. About him being granted some form of creative control contactually, my assumption was that this was done to reassure him that any footage taken in his house (if it manages to go that far) won’t somehow reveal something that can come back to bite him, and maybe he has the say on footage taken in that regard?

As far as the “Mike can be liable” speech, this is simply a case of Phil conflating anything that he determines that casts him in a disparaging light as being legally actionable slander. He’s just that retarded and narcissistic. There’s nothing more to that statement than that.

Ah.................there's the piggie in his true form.
Mike loses no matter what. He either does a non-biased doc which exposes Phail to be the true piece of shit everyone knows he is and Phail bashes him for years, or he puts out the puff piece Phail wants and it gets destroyed by detractor's reaction videos using Phail's own word in clips
Does Phail even have money for a lawsuit?
Everyone's reading way too much into this. We all know Phail won't go to court. He will just bash him on stream for years like he does Sidescrollers, Twitch, Burger King, Keemstar, etc.

I'm actually super fuckin slow today but remember during SS interview where Phil couldn't show his WWE because it might harm him or his family?

That's what he's talking about, isn't it? The same kind of "harm" talk.

I knew LegalSydePhil was going to come out with this documentary but I wasn't expecting it this fast. Once this thing comes out and Phil realizes it portays him as the egotistical antisocial narc he really is expect for him to be brining up the fact he should sue and could win, but actually won't because he is a nice guy all the fucking time.

It's like that time he said he could get EvilAJ taken off YouTube during the reACKt to TIHYDP shit. He will gloat all he wants smugly due to his warped knowledge of the legal system like every other narc.
