I wanted to post something about this yesterday, but I didn't, because this shit is tiresome, honestly. I don't think that what we say in this thread is going to have much, if any influence over how the documentary turns out. At this point, it seems futile to try to point out every little way in which Phil may be manipulating Mike, especially when Phil said yesterday, again, that he has control over what is going to appear in the documentary. But anyway, I already had this written up, so I may as well post it.
This is in reference to the
clips that
@Comma and
@Freebird posted yesterday, in which Phil says:
"If Mike accidentally puts something out in this documentary that then harms me, he's liable."
Phil is being deceptive here, and it's exactly what
@Skippy Shortbottom alludes to in his
post.
When Phil mentions things that could be harmful to him or his family, or put him at risk, or anything like that, he's talking about his WWEC account. This is one of those boiler-plate, bog-standard things that Phil says to people who are unfamiliar with him, in order to manipulate them into forgoing the hard-hitting questions. Given what Phil said on the podcast yesterday, it's no doubt that he has given Mike the same spiel, and Mike accepted. For someone like Mike, who is unfamiliar with DSP, it would seem unreasonable to not accept that notion. This is Phil's tactic - taking advantage of one's unfamiliarity with him, in order to manipulate them.
It has nothing to do with protecting his family, and everything to do with dodging the evidence that incriminates him.
( Not sure if these videos will work - The site is being shitty, i'll check back later )
Revealing that his wife has a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend because he was, supposedly, beating the shit out her, is completely above the board, however, proving his innocence in relation to his mobile game gambling, is harmful to him and his family.
