Hello all! This post is to announce that there is an official, feature-length documentary being produced on DarkSydePhil.

My name is Mike Clum. I'm a film producer and documentary creator working on a film about the life and work of Phil Burnell aka DarkSydePhil. The film will document Phil's current life as a content creator, his childhood and rise to popularity, his various controversies, his downfall from his peak, and his future.

I'm seeking a few things from this community by making this post;

1) I'd love to interview a member of the Kiwi Farms community regarding Phil and your thoughts/opinions on Phil as a person and content creator.

As Phil calls them; "detractors" or if there are any "fans" in here too, would love to get your input.

If you are concerned about privacy and "doxxing" as seems to be common there are a variety of cinematic approaches which can maintain anonymity if that is of importance, as well as the consideration phase (phone call, email, etc.) being done in confidence and privacy.


2) I'd love input to know what you'd like to see in a documentary on Phil.

Scene ideas, interview questions, subjects to interview, and more. Let me know and I'll do my best to consider including it in the film.


To be clear: This is neither a "puff piece" nor a "hit piece". If you have seen my film on Boogie2988, you will see that really I'm here to show all sides of the conversation. You may have seen my debut film on Boogie2988 where I dive into his life. This will give you a sense of the tone of the film.

Everyone already knows that Phil is a lying, begging, gambling addict. We have our own Youtube community that does in-depth deep dives on DSP lore, much more in depth than your documentary would be.

You stated that you "will be working with Phil." I highly doubt this, and you would need to prove it if you're going to say something like that.

Exactly this. Phil is one of the biggest, least trusting hermits in known existence. I highly doubt you're going to get getting unfettered access to his personal life and his horse bride (who he has hidden from public view for years now) like you had with Boogie.

While it is commendable you try to reach out to the "evil nazi Kiwifarmers" as only few do I doubt you will find much here what hasn't already being discussed.
The main point about Phil is something he has himself mentioned already: how NOT to persue a career especially an online career. Phil has thoroughly tanked his entire career with his own bad decisions. If you want to focus on that and maybe get some answers from him in that regard it might be a good start. But take everything and I mean EVERYTHING with a grain of salt. Phil has prooven to rewrite his history at any given moment so it is difficult to find the "truth"

The only question you could ever get Dave to possibly answer would be like that simpsons episode where mr burns ran for mayor "mr burnell, you're streams and channels have the momentum of a runaway freight train, why are you so popular?". Really though your energy would better off investigating dent row ie his unironic fans and putting the emphasis on the correlation of how many are physically or mentally disabled, neets and incels or other sexual style deviants.

In your interview with Boogie he was relatively open and allowed you into his life. What will you do when Phil doesn't do the same?

It could be hard to get phil involved with your documentary considering how badly he fumbled the sidescrollers interview last year. He is the type of guy who would not want any sort of pushback against him and if you bring on opposing viewpoints he is going to accuse you of acting bad faith.

Anyways, good luck on the documentary, I really enjoyed the one you did on boogie except for that bathtub scene.

Yeah.. I think Mike made this video and this post with the intent to reach out to Phil, and others, before actually doing so. I think he assumes he's just going to be able to fly to renton and enter the Snort Fort.

@mikeclum You're going to need to prove that "you will be working with DSP" like you said in your video.

The only things people would want to see is the reality and background Phil is hiding behind his wall of lies.

Specifically, people would only really want to see things like his wife, his ex Leanna, and his parents. Everyone already knows his gambling problem on gacha, his house and bankruptcy, etc. All of that has already been proven beyond a doubt and a documentary on that, especially if Phil gets creative control (which is the only thing he is going to want/give to you), is worthless.

Yeah that is the part I struggle the most with. Phil often acts filled with paranoia on camera and it seems real. Heck during the Sidescrollers he literally said "I have to talk with my wife before I show you my WWEC account name" His fucking ACCOUNT NAME no one would see except Craig! This might be a good angle to ask about if you ever get in personal (and i mean in person) touch with Phil.
