Clum seems professional. As much as I wanna see Phil from a perspective where he doesn't have any control over it I doubt we'll get whatever footage was already recorded, at least not without Phil's consent (which I doubt). It'd put Clum's career at risk by making other lolcows he plans to make documentaries on be more weary about him

Unless Clum turns from a neutral party to a detractor because Phil went back on his word and fucked Clum over by wasting his time and money I'm not getting my hopes up

My personal theory on the cancelation is that Mike interviewed Derich and Phil found out that during the interview Derich went over his top 10 list of sexiest children.

It's probably just DSP realizing he didn't have final cut approval like he presumed. If he's not able to have certain parts deleted after Clum finished then he won't do it.

I think I said this earlier in the thread but any unbiased party who looks into DSP will arrive at all the same conclusions about him. He may have finally realized that no documentary will ever make him look good unless they just leave shit out. You can't talk about DSP without dabbling at least a bit into the gacha addiction, or the constant begging, or the fact that he still is a bit racist from time to time and the jokes weren't left in 2010 like he wants you to think. That bit from the SS interview when they pressed him about the slave trade joke scarred him.

No surprises that this has been cancelled, Boogie and Phil are polar opposites when it comes to their public image. Boogie will do anything for attention, to the point that he is one day of low tweet traffic away from making Jabba porn with his sped girlfriend. DSP however has a laughably low threshold for tolerance when it comes to his perception of others being "fair" in videos covering him. DSP was never going to let Clum make anything remotely close to what he did in the Boogie doc, where Clum had unfettered access to Boogie for months.

At first I was going to outright disagree with this statement, but after reading your replies afterwards, I somewhat agree with you in terms of the most notable lolcows e.g. Boogie, but still, Phil is nowhere near self-aware, so I respectfully disagree with you on that point. In essence, Phil and all of us here wouldn't even be in this current Mike Clum documentary situation if Phil even had a semblance of self-awareness. Keep in mind, we are talking about a man who has spent over $100,000 on a WWE themed Bejeweled match 3 mobile application game, maxed out 14 credit cards, and ended up filing for bankruptcy while struggling to main a 'successful' streaming venture. If Phil even had 2 functioning neurons, he would have stopped a LONG time ago and pursued other life avenues.

He got burnt less than a year ago, as soon as Mike Clum said he had control over the documentary Phil bailed.

We've seen time and time again that Phil will jump on something 'positive', waffle on it, and go full scorched earth about how they're detractors out to wrong him, it's why 'detractor' is the meme it is.

Going back look at anything Phil has ever done. Go look at the Gamer Seat arc or the Machinima fallout. People forget (or weren't around for) him burning bridges in real time, like getting kicked out of the Twitch Bounties.

I don't care either way about Mike Clum (him making a thread to advertise his documentary and then not actually posting in it was kinda faggy and a bad first impression), but I genuinely wonder what DSP from the outside looks like. We keep seeing people reach out (Sidescrollers, Keem even if he's a retard, etc) to offer things to Phil because all these people just know DSP exists and is The Guy, but every time they either immediately recoil in horror upon meeting Phil or Phil bans them from his life.

What's the last time Phil had a positive interaction with someone else? Maybe the Apex Legends coop videos? But he refused to play further with those guys because his chat liked them.
