I have moved @Clayton harnish 's post to the shitting thread. I am familiar with this sperg through following bossmanjack. If he continues shitting up threads, I will have him thread/sub banned.
 
Hullo hullo everyone (RIP T POSE)! Your new Chief Sweeper Engineer of the DSP subboard here. I wanted to give the board a little bit to settle in and get a feel of the various conversations and dynamics going on. I am not going to make this about me but I was laid off in 2010 from HSI/Sikorsky Aircraft. OK? Sound good ? Seriously, I just want to highlight a few things in regards to my moderation style:

  • I will be pretty lenient as long as you stay on topic and have meaningful content to say.
  • If you think someone is shitting up a thread, please report them and I will evaluate. I will not always agree with your report every time, but reports can help me see trends of the retards causing trouble.
  • Please take the internet slapfights elsewhere. I have been following DSP for 11 years and i fully realize that Phil is a robust autism magnet, but no one cares about your inside Discord/Twitter drama. If your slapfights get out of hand, you will be temporarily threadbanned to go touch grass, have some dino nuggies, and settle down.
  • No Gay Ops on this board. No one cares about your 4d master chess plan to get into the Snortfort. No one cares about your thinly disguised posts signaling people off board to go after detractors. Phil displays how he is a piece of shit everyday, gay ops are not needed nor required.
  • If you have a suggestion/question/feedback etc. Please feel free to DM me.
Now for the fun part. What are ideas that you have with regards to the board? How can we make the board more meaningful? Please include your suggestions in this thread.

I would like to be able to move posts that aren't related to the thread title (the WWEC thread namely, concerning Kat) into a distinct thread where people that are interested in that specific topic can sperg about it without interrupting unrelated topic sperging... is this something that the report function can help with?

I would like to enact a board rule. Shilling JewTubers you have some personal relationship to repeatedly is strictly forbidden. Yes, everybody has their favorite content creator relating to DSP. Yes, we want to do good by them and promote their videos elsewhere for brownie points and personal validation.

But intelligent robust meaningful users know how to find these videos ourselves, by using the search function. We don't need their cronies advertising for them constantly here. You will notice an uptick in content farming the previous years, and something should be done to stomp on that culture. Thank you.

You've been here less than a week. Nobody is shilling detractor channels here and the few that do go into the thread for them. Phil gets less specific channels shiller than other cows, some of which have people specifically self promoting on the site just fine.

The only common posts are things like clips, because they provide context to Phil. There aren't even common TIHYDP anymore, because Phil no longer makes interesting content.

Nobody cares about restreamers, consensus is they all suck and should be ignored. Please go find a different cow to shit up the board of.

Can we please get some type of containment thread for when people wander in to refuse to read any content here and go 'do you think Phil is gay?' 'How can Phil afford a house if he makes no money?' 'Do you think Kat left him?' 'Do you think Phil is only pretending to be stupid and hoarding all his money?' and other exhaustingly common fresh off the boat questions?

Preferably with an updated DSP Primer stickied that's been updated more recently than 2021, since a lot has happened in the past couple years. Extra preferably linking the Sidescrollers interview since it's the most watchable Phil crash course.

The board's slowed down from how it used to be since the really hard-core autist crowd all jumped ship for their shitty discords when Null yelled at us, but making it easier for new posters to answer common questions without derailing threads would be nice.

Time was members had to wait for a post to be approved by a mod before normal users could see it here on the DSP subforum (at least for new members), that protocol could be extended?

I feel like that would unnecessarily delay posts from happening, but something like 'it you're too stupid too often your posts go under review until the mods are convinced you've learned your lesson' might not be bad, if burdensome on the mods.

It just gets tiresome to have to retread the same immediate talking points when new people wander in. We need a 'you'll carry that gunt' overlay for our containment board, something like 'DSP really is that stupid'.

I would like to second the idea of a time line of Phil, for someone who wants to know all about Phil but doesn't want to sort through mountains of shit and pure autism.

Something succinct and to the point. Bullet style, if you catch my drift.

Something like a personal timeline assignment, but for Mr. Phil Burnell? That's a fascinating idea; I've used a couple of graphic design tools very sparingly in college, usually as a shortcut for getting around really bush-league university assignments (Time Graphics, Visme, Creately, etc). Honestly, if there's anyone with experience in Adobe and a weaponized, autistic eye for the details of Phil's extensive retardation on the Farms, I'd love to help them on something like this.
 
Yo. Can I get an explanation on what it means to necro an old thread or post? I was under the impression that there's no problem responding to old discussions if you have something relevant to add, and it is not thread locked.

I had a post deleted for responding to someone three years ago, and I'm being grilled currently for replying to a thread that hasn't been updated in one year.

I suggest locking threads you do not want people to post in. Pls add a hard and fast rule, thanx.

I'm ecstatic about the fact we lost half the normal users here, and are replaced by contrarians that know next to nothing about the 20 years of documented DSP history, I hope this trend continues, that way there is at least some other users to talk to...

Half of the posters on this board take DSP way too seriously and get IRL mad about the fact the fat retard doesn't like their shitty Japanese game. They should've been laughed out of the forums years ago, but instead got their own little containment board.
