The theory I heard floated was that Youtube flagged it as a stream playing copyright Final Fantasy music and Square-Enix just made a few pennies.

Edit: Also this stupid mother fucker bought the whole pixel remaster collection of FF1 through FF6 for seventy five dollars. Seventy five. Dollars. The guy who refuses to buy almost any game unless it's on gamepass just bought some 30 year old games warmed up in the microwave for seventy five dollars.

Even if a whale promised him money for FF5 this is a staggeringly stupid financial decision. The games are all available individually. He just streamed FF4 and FF6 within the last few years so he won't want to do those. He has claimed he wants to stream FF1, but there's no way FF1, FF2, or FF3 are going to draw an audience, they are ancient and grindy.

Given how he only wants to play day 1 triple A games or game pass trash I assume games like this are directly gifted to him. If his dents are funding this behind da scenes style then it makes sense he would force them to buy the game as well.

I can kind of see Square doing that like how Disney does with all of their old animation music, but that kind of practice is so scummy. Also, it must ruin a lot of video essays YouTubers since so many people use old game chiptune music when they talk.

As for him buying the set for 75 bucks, what the actual French toast...

I got the first 2 combined on PSN years ago for like $10 and even I thought it was a rip off. What the hell could they even add to it other than worse graphics than the previous "remaster"?

Oh wow, pixels in 4k. Now I can count the pixels on each sprite even easier.

I firmly believe he thought this would bring in the fans, but the only thing I can see from this are some funny TIHYDPs of him struggling with FF1. The first two are nothing like the rest and I expect a rage quit.

It's just so disheartening to see that he's wasting money like this while saying he has no money. This is literally $75 he didn't have to spend and could have just replayed the copies he already has.

3 is a maybe, that one has some fandom that's still active for whatever reason. Maybe because it was on 3DS and it's a bit easier. But the first two will get nothing from his audience. We'll just have to see how stuck he is and hope he picks mostly mages to watch him struggle with the limited magic usage.

yea you bought psn ports of a gba game. these remasters look decent and have remixed music. i bought the entire collection on steam last year then bought the stupidly expensive switch collector's edition from squenix, those games are classics and better than a lot of the crap that gets released these days at $60-$70.

My guess is that they have groceries delivered, and by groceries I mean frozen meals. I really would not be surprised if at least 2 meals every day is DoorDash at this point, best case scenario I can see is maybe 1-2 meals a month being actual home cooked.
