Funniest thing about this is, it sounds like such a lie but it's a complete self-own either way.

Dave had a job, already a red flag for bullshit, but also one I don't think he's sperged about before. But it was at a wine and cheese shop that's out of business so no one can verify he did, let alone that he could have had these expensive wines at cheaper prices. The bottles he had and their value are entirely sourced from him, and if there's no evidence found, it's because his Dad drank it all. Look, he suddenly owes me another four grand!

I do wish more people were calling out how Dave's whining has been systematically dismantling his begging grift of the last few years, but that would involve people giving a shit about Dave, and so far the only people who seem to are brainless, middle-aged NPCs.
