In the comic Jack, Drip Rat (a self insert) rapes his own son (Fnar, a child) in hell. Drip also had sex with his daughter, Lita. Somehow Lita didn't realize the one other furry that looks exactly like her was a relative at the time.

Fnar gets reincarnated as the child of one of Daves other self inserts. I really hope Dave is sterile.

He also killed Lita's mother, whom he presumably raped both during Lita's conception and before her inevitable death. Lita later kills herself - not out of survivor's guilt, like every other Hopkins' woman, but so that she can go to hell to find her father and torment him. I could not make this shit up if I tried. Of course once she gets to hell she ends up befriending another rapist because that's the only kind of character Hopkins can write.

There's also one story where Lita meets Fnar, reincarnated as a five year old called Harvey (or something), and he says to her, "Wanna be my sister?" It's pretty fucked up.

Hence what I said about Jack sucking, but still somehow being interesting enough that you want to keep reading. A lot of it reads like the humble beginnings of what could have been a decent (if rapey and edgy as as hell) webcomic.

It gets worse as it goes on because A) there's little to no improvement in the art or writing and B) Dave keeps painting himself into corners and has to think of some bullshit excuse as to how to justify whatever the fuck is going on in his convoluted "story."

The basic premise is pretty fucking cool. An evil dictator commits suicide and goes to hell where he loses his memory and becomes the grim reaper. Centuries later he starts to feel sympathy for the dead through his job. Can he be redeemed?

Unfortunately, this conflict is surrounded by badly drawn furries, rape, terrible writing, rape, spelling errors, rape, shitty art, and more rape. Dave also has a tendency to forget about Jack, the titular fucking character, and waste several arcs on Drip and rape.

In short, Jack takes the admittedly doable idea of making a mature work in a cartoon style, (like Conker's Bad Fur Day) and waters it down to a mess of blood, gore, and edginess. But this is not the lowest Dave can go. Dave has a rape fetish. Dave's wife called a radio show named Loveline about his fetish. Dave then proceeded to turn this incident into a plot line in his comic. This plot ends with the man raping his wife. But it gets worse. One of Dave's fans told him that she was molested as a child, and he fapped to her confession. In the same message, Dave shares his "secret rape art" and talks about how tiny his dick is.

I remember encountering his work, Rework the Dead, back in my old days chronicling David Gonterman. Rework the Dead was, at the time, the single most fucked-up comic I had ever encountered online, with literally nothing redeemable about it - atrocious artwork, poor characterization, and a concept that seemed to be hewn from an unsound mind. It was my single most disturbing comic I ever encountered, until I discovered that-which-must-not-be-mentioned, which, to put it simply, was a fuck-mothering snuff-porn comic.

It single-handedly reminded me of why I love chronicling David Gonterman - because as often as he's backslid back into lolcowery, as often as his ideas are completely asinine, they're redeemed by virtue of being completely hilarious.

Color me completely not suprised that he's infinitely more fucked up than even I suspected.
