Dead Space Thread

There's supposed to be some gameplay for the remake sometime in September, right? I'm interested in seeing how it's progressing.

His little head shake near the end of one when he realises he's seeing illusions of Nicole was pretty well done. Less is more with these types of games.

But then, I don't mind Issac talking either.

So based on the new gameplay showcase im actually pretty excited for what they are doing for the new one.

Apparently they are going to turn it into a metrovania where you can explore the whole ship at anytime. There will be more survivors and side quests to interact with. You'll get "pick your poison" options where you can restore power to rooms but have to choose between oxygen in total darkness or lights with no oxygen. Issac wont be a chatterbox and his lines will change to reflect how hurt or stressed he is. I also like how the Stasis power has been made a lot less of a game breaker, ive seen it fail to work a couple times.

They also mentioned tying the story more into the sequels, which greatly allays my fear they'll kill Issac off.

I actually enjoyed the original Dead Space back when I was in college. I played it in school work and the few times of lull, and I looking back, this is a title that can benefit from the better graphics that we have now, considering the importance of environment in this one.

That said, what is up with all these remasters/remakes? CoD4, Warcraft III, RE2-3 (4 is upcoming), and now Dead Space?

There's apparently an upcoming C&C knock off and even Dead Space has a knock off now?

Is going broke from woke manifesting as creative stagnation and clamoring for the good old days?

Hopefully if the remake succeeds, they’ll finally make a Dead Space 4. I want the conclusion to the story. Either way, the remake looks pretty fun.
