The outcome was fine, but man the next Death Battle is pure brain rot

That was a great episode, loved the bit with Bowser becoming furious when Junior got hurt. But where were the Koopalings?

How is the Ash vs. Yugi one going to work? Will Yugi just have real actual monsters on his side? I never really watched much of the anime past Battle City. I know Ash has like, some sort of Lucario powers or something, and there's an Ash Greninja situation I'm not too knowledgeable on.

My guess is to use the mechanics of the Pokemon game and the game of Duel Monsters, and just have the monsters fight each other, While Ash and Yugi scrap amongst themselves or get caught in some attack. It’s been done before.

Edit: I know that Ash isn’t Red, but the game and the anime both do the same turn based combat in their battles.

I have to wonder if we're going to learn that there's this massive lore for these two games that's gone completely ignored.
 
I admit I never played any God of War games, but can Kratos really step up to Asura? He killed a creator deity capable of resetting the entire universe by just punching him really hard.
