Death Battle - Analyzing weapons, armor, and skills on the Internet since 2010.

Additional Non comic books wins over comic books:

Amy Rose over Ramona Flowers (I assume you're only talking about superhero comics, but I just added Scott Pilgrim for the sake of argument)

Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie (that was a joke battle)
I only count superhero comics since Scott Pilgrim actually has an ending and Ramona Flowers doesn't have this one super specific feat that makes her unlikable that a comic book superhero has

But most of the time a comic character always wins which man I know White Lanturn is going to win since I doubt Simon has a chance
The fact that rather than go “willpower vs willpower” with Green Lanturn, the gave Kyle all the Lanturn powers and everything makes me think the same, unfortunately

I went through the episodes on IMDB and found this:

IMDB is a thing where anyone can edit it, right?
Has the author ever said that Chrona is nonbinary or that just a widely agreed thing that nobody wants to talk about?

Fair enough.

Author said Chrona is nonbinary.
That’s funny, because I thought it was a thing where the author said Crona’s gender was “unknown”.

What the fuck does non-binary rights even mean? What rights do they not have? They have the right to say they're not the gender they are already, even if it's wrong.

After they wanked Kratos so hard, I'm pleasantly surprised that they didn't give Doomslayer any retarded 'multiversal' calcs.

The fact that for once a Deathbattle produced a result roughly in line with the impression a normal person get from consuming the respective pieces of media (no offense to Master Chief, but anyone playing both Halo and recent Doom would find it pretty obvious that Doomslayer directly takes out tougher things), and it is treated as a pleasant surprise, is a testament to the sad state of Deathbattles and VS debates in general. Asura vs. Kratos is, unfortunately, a typical example of how these debates usually go nowadays: fish out an obscure case of writers/artists not thinking things through or inserting statements that are probably not meant to be taken literally (or just take statements out of context), make some bullshit biggaton calcs/multiversal claims on the basis of it, and use those as a justification to produce a result completely fucking out of line with the impression anyone not autistic would get upon looking at things, so that you can satisfy your favoritism. No one in their right mind would say that Kratos can possibly beat Asura after going through their respective games, and yet...

Also, any time I hear "multiversal" nowadays my mind now automatically reacts with "opinion invalidated".

Came across this at random on Twitter and it made me laugh.

Ooooh boy…..

What’s the overall win/loss with these “Anime vs Comics” matchups? I kinda think comics has a bit of an unfair advantage given that they’re typically a lot more “lore” to pull from over a 26 episode series.
The ones I can recall winning that were anime/non-comic characters were

Crona against Venom

Stitch against Rocket

Jinx against Harley

Po against Iron Fist

Broly against Hulk

Lucy (Elfen Lied) against Carnage

Android 18 against Captain Marvel

But most of the time a comic character always wins which man I know White Lanturn is going to win since I doubt Simon has a chance
There was also Beast vs Goliath, Raiden vs Wolverine, and Shredder vs Silver Samurai

What about manga characters? There have been instances of non-manga characters winning, like Kirby vs Majin Buu, Toph vs Gaara, Samurai Jack vs Afro Samurai, Optimus Prime vs Gundam, Aang vs Edward Elric, Obi-Wan vs Kakashi, Shadow vs Ryuko, and Popeye vs Saitama.

Manga characters function differently from like Marvel and DC comics.

Since they actually have endings and don't have the common problem of Death Battle just finding an issue in 2004 where like Spider-Man survived a nuclear bomb and his webs could rebuild the multiverse.

It's even more ridiculous than that because Asura is actually shown to be universal while they say Kratos is faster than light because he walked slowly while blocking attacks from Helios.

Like even with how inaccurate it is, they could've at least made the fight interesting but it was a poorly animated fight with corny sappy music and it felt like Asura as a god of war boss than as an equal opponent.

I'm glad everyone is in unanimous agreement that Kratos vs Asura is quite possibly the worst death battle video ever made to date, worse than Giorno vs Joker.
I mean as someone whose a fan of both series, Giorno vs Joker is reasonable especially with how Persona's power of friendship mechanics are so absurdly ridiculous that could survive through anything that can give Joker the edge. Giorno at least would've won if Joker didn't clear his social links which is pretty in character compared to Asura being a dumb brute while Kratos looks stoically sad.

I think the only other fight that had big controversy this season was Omni-Man vs Bardock but at least that fight was well animated which again just adds an extra layer to how bad Asura vs Kratos is.

Even if inaccurate, at least make the fight fun to watch.
