Also, if you are actually poor, there's extremely cheap state healthcare in the US still. In a lot of ways it's vastly superior to the kind people pay through for work because there's not even a deductible. Tell whatever head doctor you're going to you can't control your murderous tendencies while having to have a uterus. Also, you could just start cutting away at yourself and then let the ER clean it up, then just not pay the bill. If you're that poor, it's not as if you got anything to lose.

Of course, if you're actually being supported by someone else, then that could be putting you above 200% of the poverty line, at which point you aren't really poor, you're just bad with money.
