maybe you have to realize that over a million and a half people did not suddenly drop dead in the fields of any other SE asian country. this was localized within the borders of Cambodia, the policies that caused it are well documented, and they were the intention of the state.

ignoring all the evidence we have of khmer policy, trying to pin 1.5 million deaths to the bombing campaign is completely outside any realistic number.

it is a special mix of delusion and ignorance that pretends the genocide couldn't happen because muh American propaganda, while the communists in southeast asia overthrew pol pot and built a museum in remembrance of the tragedy.
