You don't bring Steeve because he's useful. You bring him because he's a good bug. That or because you're roleplaying as Hitler, notorious animal lover.

Probably a disruptive enemy like a menace, so nemesis would be the closest comparison rather than boss.
The game could do with some more enemy variation. In all honesty the robots are kind of boring, and added little to the game. A bit of a wasted opportunity.

Thankfully the base game is so very good.

I wonder what other type of enemy they could add. There's bugs, and there's robots serving another Dwarf group/another species...I wouldn't mind seeing some space pirates from a different faction ambushing you while you're looking for cargo crates tbh. Maybe those pirates would be orks.

Big subversion if greenskins were behind the robots and elves were pirates, not corpofags.

KIWIDWARVES WAKE UP! New update coming 2 weeks from now. So far they've only shared an image that shows scout and gunner flying with rocket boots in a strange infected map. We can expect weird new disgusting bug enemies, new gear, and some kind of merging between bugs and robots (there's mechanic parts on some of the bugs shown in the image).

I've already played this game to death and Season 3 wasn't enough to get me invested again. Throwing foam at bugs just wasn't a fun gimmick. Hopefully this is the update that will finally bring me back into the game.

Not sure what I dislike more, industrial sabotage or lithophage warning missions. As far as gimmicks go, ever since the seasonal model was introduced, I've not been wowed. The best part has been the new weapons.

GSG might consider a mission type where you actually fortify/build something. Everyone likes on site refining and building on the concept of calling down modules and connecting them somehow could potentially be a winner, although it sort of farts in the face of the whole "get in get out" nature of the game.

With the exception of the pyramid boss which led to some fun strategies.

Deep dives already fart in the face of the "get in get out" nature of the game. You could replace them with a "defend" mode that has a similar length, It would be a huge improvement over the current hour long (sometimes longer) clusterfuck that jams all the mission types together.

Deep dives could use a pass over. I rarely bother jumping in unless I see some shit on the steam forums about it being a dank one that week.

I'm a few cosmetics away from unlocking everything, I think I can get it done before the new season drops.

I've played consistently since season 2 and season 3. I think I expected more rockpox swarms in season 3, but they seem to be a rarity, they never show up outside lithopage warnings, which makes sense I guess, but it doesn't add anything to other missions. They even seem to be rare in the lithophage missions. The cleaning minigame is hit or miss. You can play games where people cooperate and the cleaning is completed in 15-20 seconds/spike, and then other times people just don't seem to want to do it at all and things can take forever. I don't hate the minigame, but it isn't like building pipelines where you have some leeway for creativity, and your design directly impacts how easily/not easily the next stages go. I perfer the hacking minigame over the "foaming it up", because sometimes it matters how fast you can do it, like hacking a rival turret controller. If you're fast/clean enough you can do it in a single gunner shield, and sometimes that can save a mission. I still see people racing to hack the patrol bots, but very rarely do I see anyone racing to foam a spike. Speed hacking gets you dwarf cred, but speed jannying, not so much. I like the metoerites, big and small, they really add more flavor to things, and add frantic energy if they drop in as you're fighting a large swarm.

I played a 325 morkite length 3 mining mission with three contagion spikes, I cleaned/vacuumed the first one myself while the other two ran past it. On the second spike I didn't do anything, to see if anyone would clean it, nope, the two other players ignored it, which was difficult to do since we have to walk through it to get past it. So we continue all the way down to the bottom of the mine, I know we'll have to come back and clean this thing at some point because it is a primary mission objective, but I wanted to see what would happen. We reach the end of the mine, and the final spike is staring us in the eye. We wait around, fight off a rockpox swarm, and then one guy drops out because he realizes we'll have to go all the way back up. Me and the other guy clean the last spike, and then walk back up top to finish the other, and gtfo. Definitely a rare occurrence, but it highlights how much some people don't like it.

As for industrial sabotage I usually run that as driller with flamethrower + facemelter oc + heat + range/ammo and explosion, that will overheat turrets in a just over a second, and if you shoot the base of the turret, you can overheat them before they drop their shield. You can overheat patrol bots pretty easily on haz 5, even with the 35 round canister in the flamethrower, shredders drop to the flame explosion. Then I'll take the subata with the embedded detonators, and this will provide good damage to the boss weak points. Drill up into the ceiling right over the caretaker, call a resupply pod, then carefully drill down to it so you can throw your (max damage) c4s on top to hit all 4 spots. Two C4s will break his armor, and with the resupply pod you have 6 total C4s, so that will speed things up dramatically. Usually I'll stay in the ceiling until the final damage phase, and use cooked grenades to damage the boss a little bit, once the sheild is down. I'll shoot down patrol bots and tentacles with the subata, while the others hit his eye. Once the final armor stage is blown up I run down and finish things off, either cook arms/bots, or dps the boss down with the subata if it looks like the other dwarves wont make it. A lot of people don't realize the tentacles will go down in a single power attack, so if you can get maybe one other person to power attack them (cough, scout, cough) then it really makes the fight less annoying, if you aren't playing driller.

+1 for making the elite deep dives harder, or add a suicide deep dive, where it's very very hard to complete, with only the most annoying combos, like swarmageddon/shield disruption, or lethal enemies/rival presence warning.

New narrated trailer for S4 just dropped.

Assuming the 'wear a helmet' comment was being serious, I look forward to watching everyone concuss themselves into an early down with the new jet boots.

The jet boots and the new normal enemies look great. The plague heart abomination not so much but maybe it can put up a fight so I'll reserve judgment for now. New content seems kinda sparse though.

Highly disappointing. No new objectives, guns, gear, and maps. They just made rockpox even more annoying, so more infected enemy types that will spread the 'can't move' air. Adding different variations of enemies that already exist is the most lazy approach you can take. I denounce the DRG COVID scamdemic idea completely.
They will add rocket boots I guess. I thought they'd come up with a mission type that would require them, but they just appear normally on missions as an event. All that does is make scout useless. The retards also added an arcade machine with a ripoff of flappy bird instead of arcade classics like Tetris.

I wonder if there was drama going on within the studio about who supports trans rights the most, which led to the firing of the people who knew what they were doing. Now it's almost as if they're just scouting their discord/reddit suggestions and choose the idea that takes the least work (they're all shit btw).
