the things that astounds me is just how far he's conflated the issues. he seems to believe that all he has to do is file his "complaints" with "the court" and somehow everything will be resolved in one fell swoop. he has absolutely no appreciation for the fact that he is facing multiple legal issues in multiple courts.

- he was convicted of illegal dissemination of images, which allowed faith to be granted a domestic restraining order. he's alleged to have repeatedly violated this restraining order, and he's standing trial as a result. this is a distinct issue, with a distinct case number. it involves faith and the ragepig. it also involves gator, because his declaration is being offered as evidence of willful violation, and it might involve meigh, if the court considers her declaration to be testimony, in which case faith will have the right to cross-examination. however, this case does not involve rozy, or mr. vickers, or mrs. vickers, or iziah, or cog, or dan, or kiwi farms.

- he and faith signed a parental / visitation agreement, which then became a family court order. this is a distinct issue, with a distinct case number, and this is not a case that is being heard on friday. even if it were (which, again, it's not), the only correlation between this case and the dvro case is the fact that the ragepig's compliance with the dvro is a stipulation of this family court order.

- he and mr. vickers signed a no-contact agreement, which then became a stipulated court order. he's alleged to have repeatedly violated this order, and he's required to attend a hearing to determine the date when he will stand trial as a result. this is a distinct issue, with a distinct case number. while the order stipulates that the ragepig is not to contact or discuss mrs. vickers, the vickers' four sons, and mrs. vickers' mother, it does not constrain them from discussing the ragepig. the only individuals who are constrained by this order are mr. vickers and the ragepig, and it's only the ragepig who will be standing trial for his alleged violations. this does not involve meigh, or rozy, or faith, or xander, or iziah, or gator, or cog, or dan, or kiwi farms.

- there are no other cases. the ragepig does not have a case against anyone else; not against the vickers, not against faith, and not against iziah. until a judge accepts anything that he has filed, and then assigns a case number for it, all that he has is a collection of misspelled words and meandering thoughts that his alcohol and drug-addled brain somehow managed to document.

I don't think Ralph ending up in a jail cell is a remote possibility - you're probably just looking at fines, perhaps extending the RO and additional stipulations being added to it.

With that said, if Vickers also gets awarded legal fees on top of any fine being issued then Ralph could be in a world of shit.

He might earn good money, but he spends it as quickly as it comes in on frivolous bullshit - he could get saddled with $20k of fines. How does someone who lives hand to mouth pay a fine equalling a few months income?

You never know how these things will go. Ralph could win if Faith can’t get her evidence admitted, or if the judge thinks it doesn’t meet the burden. I do think the dynamics are different than the usual case because Faith is Ralph’s victim, he was already given a suspended sentence and he still couldn’t leave her alone. After reviewing a bench guide for CA contempts (a guide written for judges by the California Supreme Court), I see that under Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 1218 each separate violation increases the possibility of jail time. For example, under subsection (c)(1)(C):

Upon the third or any subsequent finding of contempt, the court shall order that the contemner serve a term of imprisonment of up to 240 hours and perform community service of up to 240 hours, for each count of contempt.

Of course there is a separate provision that allows the court to impose “probation” or “conditional sentence,” but the point is 3 violations and Ralph is back under court supervision, as if he were convicted of a crime. And he’ll likely be completely barred from mentioning this matter in any way going forward, like the Adrienne Blair situation. Not bad for a “civil contempt.”

The real danger for Ralph is that he’ll be found in direct contempt for being an asshole in court. Because Ralph is self-representing, he doesn’t have a wrangler to make him shut up. Perhaps a single violation of the RO wouldn’t get him locked up, but telling the judge to eat a fucking cock just might.
