Using an SSN associated with someone born in 1875 would set off an alarm.
Funny, when I applied for my first job ever, the company called back and asked why I gave them a dead guys SSN. Turned out to be a typo on their end, however I was a few months away from becoming naturalized so they may have thought I was illegal or something.

DOGE Staffer Behind Racist Posts Reinstated at Social Security
Bloomberg (archive.ph)
The staffer with billionaire Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency who resigned after a report that linked him to racism and eugenics has been reinstated at the Social Security Administration, according to people familiar with the move.

Marko Elez, who reportedly advocated for a “eugenic immigration policy” and argued against mixed-race relationships in posts on X, received support from Musk, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance after his departure earlier this month. Vance argued he didn’t think “stupid social media activity should ruin a kid’s life.”

Alleged leaked discord audio from Ed ‘Big Balls’ Coristine, obtained from ddosecrets (A)
Leaked group call 1

Leaked group call 2

I can pretend to be smart and understand the context, or I can hackjob copy-paste the gist of it from an accompanying dailydot article (A)
Audio files and chat logs from Discord reveal harassment and doxing efforts carried out by associates of Edward Coristine, the 19-year-old employed by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The files were obtained by an anonymous source from a now-defunct Discord server for Tesla.Sexy, the name of the company set up by Coristine in 2021 when he was 16 years old. They were then provided to the non-profit journalist and data leak hosting collective DDoSecrets.
Two audio clips, which according to the source, were recorded on Nov. 6, 2021, show Tesla.Sexy members known on Discord as pobg, Scythens, crazy, and sigma, harassing an individual during a group call.
Coristine, who used the Discord username “Rivage,” does not appear to be present in the group call or chat log involving the targeted individual. The user named crazy refers to himself in the chat log as being with the “Tesla.Sexy team” before referring to other members as “business associates.”
...
The two audio clips involve an individual supposedly from Germany who drew the ire of Tesla.Sexy. In the first clip, the members accuse the individual of attempting to conceal his identity by posing as a Tesla employee.
...
It’s not clear what the offending member did to upset the Tesla.Sexy team, though the call mentions Minecraft and gaming.

In the second audio clip, which appears to be a part of the same call, the primary member alleges that Tesla.Sexy had taken offline a Discord server linked to the individual four months prior.
Attached is a sparse scrape of the associated discord channel (25 messages in total)

Reading that Congress gets $180k a year, a pension, free healthcare, lobbyist cash, and barely having a WORK pissed me off more than almost anything else.
Being a congressman is the cushiest job in the world. You are also guaranteed to become a millionaire within a few years. Strange how they all manage that on a 180k salary.

While they don't get free healthcare (they get the same gov't plans as all gov't employees), they do get the luxury of never being subject to furloughs or shutdowns, meaning they get paid even if they don't do their job of funding the government. Which is kinda crazy when you think about who causes a shutdown. Not to mention how little some people actually are present for hearings or votes...

Now... they did vote to give themselves stipends for a lot of their expenses. For instance, MTG spends thousands on Georgia decor for her DC residence that is probably lived in 1/3 of the year at most. There's a link buried on one of the Congress websites that shows all expenditures by chamber by quarter. It's something like 4000 pages long.

They also go on taxpayer funded junkets and fact finding tours of foreign countries on the taxpayers dime.

Aka free overseas vacations.

Their fed healthcare isn't free but it's DAMN close. Sub $1 prescriptions and extremely inexpensive Dr. visits and low premiums and cost caps.

Reminds me of the MPs' expenses scandal we had in the UK, one of them had to resign after claiming £1600 for a duck pond ornament. I bet there's tons of shit like that for anybody with enough autism to read it all.

That autism is built into my background so I don't have a choice.

There's some great stuff in there that if people knew they'd freak out. Like for example, in FY2024, the House spent $1.4M on Herman Miller chairs & products. For people who are rarely there, I don't think they need top of the line office chairs. If people knew the amount that is spent on signage, any number of consulting agencies, etc., people would lose their shit.

A good chair is nice to have if you're sitting in it 8 hours a day, but granted I don't know how much a HM chair is and how good a midrange chair is

Exactly, blindly looking at expenditures and judging them can be fun, but for all we know they got a good deal on them. It's why people just combing through a site to see expenditures without context is silly. Under the DOGE standard, I could whine and call this waste fraud & abuse because maybe I don't agree with it. Maybe it is wasteful, say if they spend that every year, but that requires nuance to get to that conclusion.

Also for context, HM chairs go anywhere from $700-2000.
