I only ever played the original Destiny on Xbox360 back in the day. It felt really familiar having played Halo. Quite a lot of shared dna there. Dunno if it changed past all the expansions but I found it charming even though I never played more than the original storyline. Now that Bungie has crashed and burned we can only lament the wasted potential that was Destiny. Another piece of gaming history dead and buried.

Only after thousands of hours I finally found myself trapped in tranny faggot bullshit made by trannies and faggots.
Especially Nimbus go fuck yourself you gross tranny with eyelash longer than ikora's buzzcut

I don’t play this game, can someone explain Destiny 2 in kiwifarms terms?
Rusnigger wakes up from a really bad hangover and has to kill a series of troons, guys with daddy issues, and girlbosses because they all work for the most annoying they/them HR lady in the history of the universe while babysitting a bunch of fags, dykes, and they/thems who give you grindy as fuck quests

Good thing Hell Let Loose: Vietnan drops soon, which I learned after I made a Ralph reference there once that some of you walk among me there.

Destiny 2 is a serious space looter shooter where you have a Cortana device with you at all times where you defeat aliens with psudeo science, futuristic names. Content you bought may be locked out for reasons only to "return" at Bungie's say so. Science fiction where nothing makes sense to the average user.

I wasn't an OG by any means, only played this game for around 1 year before quitting. That said, apathy and not hatred is the opposite of love, I can't deny that it got its hooks in me. I was still checking up on lore bits and putting on Byf videos in the background while working for a long time after I said "fuck it I'm out."
Love the setting, love the gun and armor designs. The writing was a bit fagged out at times, but overall it managed to keep me coming back. As far as gameplay goes, the most difficult thing I managed to do was Prophecy Solo Flawless, hard but not S-tier top 0.1% hard. Point being, whatever they were doing was enough to convince me to git somewhat gud, so there has to have been some amount of real quality to it.
I hope Bungie enjoys getting turned into a mobile game sweatshop after being sold as scrap to DongWeiXin HyperSmile International Holdings Inc. It's the least they deserve.
R.I.P. to a surprisingly good game.

KEEP MOVING, WE'VE TAKEN A CHARLIE OP!
Still crazy how they're making an entirely new game set in a different war before they put out a Pacific Theater update.

Warframe won btw. Total Canadian Victory!
It sucks that so many live games just go kaput. Rebecca Ford was right, they are incredibly lucky to be doing what they’re doing right now for so long.

Many times devs really do not know what made other games work or why they fail, which is, imo, what happened with destiny 2. Aside from just being big and greedy

Good, the base game was already shit and full of bugs and exploits that were never properly addressed.
The "special" raid content and Trial of 9 PvP content were completely unplayable and riddled with connectivity and lag issues.

The quicker live service slop dies the better.
And I say this as the owner of a deluxe edition, who never even played any of the DLC I pre-paid for. (Never doing that again btw.)

The harder Bungie dies and the more money Sony loses on this the better.
I hope the devs all lose their jobs and never work in the game industry again.
Fuck the company, fuck the devs, fuck the games industry.

All gaming companies with troons in them need to fail, please produce more Atari ET like games, I want it all to burn.

$20+ dollar skins on an early access game was insane

I lost faith in destiny in 2014 when the trailers that promised a single player mass effect but with Halo and a always online universe where you could find other people randomly on the map doing other quests could team up for amazing boss fights and loot was a 60$ empty demo, then I saw the leaks that they basically cut 90% of the plot, including the excellent "sphere is the true villain" plot, the maps, the planets, so they could be only be seen in the dlcs and the sequels dlc.

Every year now is current year

And current year games fucking suck

If HLLV is actually and miraculously good, then I know we are truly blessed and all the current years are behind us

Why the fuck would you end development on a reasonably successful live service game with established whales? 10-20 year old live games are low cost money printers if managed correctly.
