I can't stand Dev as I can't watch the Arch cast anymore due to him. It's just not enjoyable for me. I think you underestimate the genuine spite "skinwalkers" hold.
All those things, probably have already hit Dev's nerve. And Dev's probably been slowly undermining him as we speak.
A parasite doesn't cause major organ failure in 5 seconds. He's like a tapeworm. Slow. Insidious. But very deliberate. Dev could EASILY do alot more damage to him. The most obvious tactic of such a person is to remove your connections by damaging perception of your character. Both friendships and business connections.
