What makes him think that propping Ukraine up will stop all Russian expansionism later? Does he realize this fucking farce is only exarcebating the issue of NATO members being weak as fuck and relying in the USA alone to protect them (since they can skirt around requirements of manpower and hardware by just waving the "I am funding Ukraine" flag)? And of course Dev has no drive to ever put his ass on the line.
 
They could use Dev as an offering to Russian science. The war ends, and they get to experiment on/study Dev to figure out the depths of something that mimics humans, but not enough to be convincing.

What makes you think that Russians didn't had already done some homunculus experiments during the cold war? If we offer Dev to their scientists, they would outcry that "there's nothing new to know, we already know what a 'Homo Devonicus' is."

There's a little problem though. If Putler is hellbent on taking over Europe/The World/The Universe/Whatever the current narrative says, why is the solution for a country on the other side of the planet to dump infinite gibs into Ukraine? How come none of these leftists want to mobilize Europe to annihilate Russia, a supposed imminent threat? Just doesn't add up, almost like the point is just to spur on a new forever war rather than actually stop Russia.
 
Dev has never let practical considerations get in the way of his flights of fancy before, it's only more egregious now given the very real human cost his policy preferences would hypothetically entail. Even worse given he would be reluctant to lift a finger whilst offering up the rest of the world to the meatgrinder.

The only time Dev would ever be at the frontline would be if he was at the front of a line to enter a bordello staffed entirely by gigolos and trans prostitutes.

This is exactly why this argument really doesn't persuade me. Its all speculation and just rings of the same alarmist posturing you see with Jan 6 or Orange Hitler rhetoric.

I would love to be uninvolved with the conflict either way, and if that isolationist take eventually leads to WW3, then so be it, as the likelihood that all this poking and prodding and proxy war shit leads to WW3 as well is just as likely in my book.

Adam and Sitch have similar takes on the Ukraine stuff and its as tiring as hearing people bitch about Israel and Palestine

One thing I'm noticing with people like Dev, and even the UK prime minister, is that they're all for prolonging the war with Russia (and Palestine) provided they don't have to go to the front lines. Other people should die for their twitter updoots.

Pretty sure the idea is not that NATO expanding stops Russia from expanding, but NATO expanding means that it increases pressure on Russia. It'd be like my neighbor planting trees right next to my property line. At some point there is a possibility that those trees will cause issues, without the need for my property line to move.
 
It's like your neighbor planting trees on the properly line right above Your sewer pipes so in a few years the roots will grow into the pipes and it'll be your responsibility to get them removed.
