Remembering when answering a question about the ReDigitize characters' ages* during the game segment of Digimon Con, Habu said that Mirei is 24-26 but her Digital World appearance is based on her as a 14-year-old. I don't think I've seen a more bullshit asspull than that; she does not look 14 at all.

*We already sort of knew anyways, since the game says Yuuya is 14 at one point.

This is not anything recent, but it's something I remembered that was funny enough to go here:

Despite WtW's strict anti-piracy policy enforced by her and (((Marc)))*, Vande has her own blog where she shares raw scans and scanlations of all the various Digimon manga: Xros Raws
Prior to Bandai publishing the manga in English online, Xros Raws was the group doing the current manga Digimon Dreamers, with Vande providing the scans from Saikyo Jump and Onkei doing the translation. Since the English release, their focus has shifted to the Appmon manga.

She does not hide that Xros Raws is her, as her Twitter bio mentions it and her pinned tweet is a link to the blog. She also posts every Xros Raws release to this Twitter:

Notably, in every release Vande repeatedly states you are not allowed to use her scanlations for your non-English scanlations or upload anything to manga reading sites or elsewhere. But the best part, she outright says that NO Brazilian or Portuguese people can use any of her stuff for anything, because of someone who broke her rule of not using her scanlations.

She called them out in this post. Later retracted after the person apologized and promised to go by her rules:

There was also a time some Korean fan accused (though likely baselessly) Xros Raws of using their raws without permission for the Appmon scanlations. Onkei says she owns the volumes and scanned them herself. Unfortunately this episode got lost as the person deleted all their replies.

As for the larger rule, Vande has indeed also busted people for reuploading the Dreamers scans to MangaDex:

Yes, in acceptance of the fact she can't stop these unauthorized reuploads or take them down, she just uploaded them to MangaDex in Xros Raws's own name. Someone in the MD comments complained about her restating her complaints about having her scans stolen in every chapter:

I always found it amusing how Vande has to preorder every single new V-Pet release, even if she doesn't actually care for it (she preordered the Tamers Digivices and Ghost Game and Seekers's DIMs despite being open about how she dislikes those series). Literally every time a new V-Pet, Digivice, or DIM comes out I see her talking about preordering it. She even admits she doesn't play them and just collects.

I don't even hate her, (((Marc))), and the rest of WtW much. They're just funny people. At least they don't give me brainrot like my current profile picture and her lot.

That reminds me of another fun WtW story. On WtW's Discord there used to be some autist named ClassicThomas spamming the fanart channel with edits of Digimon girls trapped in bubbles. Cue the Splashmon episode...of course as soon as those screenshots dropped someone made the "ClassicThomas's favorite episode" joke and we all clapped.

(((Marc))) allowed this guy's bubble spam and defended his right to post them against the people ripping on it. He even told Vande to STFU when she said she hates the bubbles.

I mean, there's been questionable stuff in Digimon for quite a long time. Most Digimon literally throw their own feces at you in defense, LadyDevimon is literally wearing a dominatrix outfit, same with Rosemon but now equipped with the whip, Apocalymon self-harms himself, fucking Etemon/MetalEtemon, whatever was going on with Yolei in the original, there was Jeri practically lusting over Leomon because everyone did, and Kazemon is out-and-about walking around in fucking lingerie and no one batted an eye. Then official card artwork was done by literal hentai artists (nothing new when you think about it, but holy shit they just were in your face about it). And there was whatever-the-fuck was going on with possessed Nene in the Xros Wars manga (below) on top of creating official gijinkas of a few Digimon (while innocent in nature, if you're still going to lust after them but have standards in appearance (so you can titty-fuck Lilithmon without feeling guilty, I guess), they can be human now).


Fetish porn was going to happen in Digimon. It just took them 20 years to be ballsy enough to be open about it in the anime (and probably ensured we're never getting Ghost Game dubbed).
