Dillin is trying to wear out the current hate audience he has and wait for them to all get bored and find someone else to shit on. That way he can build up a different audience that loves "alec" his content. If Dillin started a new channel under a new name and made entirely different content, there's a very low chance anyone would be able to find him. He would be able to make content and not get discovered as long as he never touches anything related to the DHT label again. That would basically mean no sonic, no lolcows, no comics and no Chris. Maybe Dillin could start a Grindr review channel.
Speaking from experience, Its almost impossible to get any start on YouTube without shout outs from other creators or getting very lucky with the algorithm and even you do get that boost you gotta keep it going or else you can loose it fast. So yeah you are completely right on that.
