No it's not, Baloo is in Jungle Book. Him and Little John just happen to have a similar design and the same voice because Disney had to save money.
Yep. This was an era of the studio having to scrimp somewhere and if they can use the same bear design but alter it just enough, they'll have a new character to slip through. Phil Harris was also used on The Aristocats so someone loved his voice too much to keep using him a lot, he would've had a part in The Rescuers but that was cut out anyway.

To say nothing of how they reused a dance sequence from Snow White in Robin Hood.

Brace yourselves...

so, what are chances of this even breaking even post-virus?

or what are the chances of this being thrown into disney+ because no ones gonna care about it?

The dance at the end of Beauty and the Beast was copied from the one at the end of Sleeping Beauty.
That's forgivable considering what they did with the ballroom dance and making it quasi 3D. Beast was also a bitch to animate.

In Dumbo's Flying Circus they made a King Louie clone and made it be a puppeteer suit.

I saw the Defunctland video on it, just didn't remember that part.
I often blame that on a sort of "House Style" the studio kinda stuck to at the time for why they kept similar designs like that around.

still, will anyone actually care about this film once it shows up on disney+?
Only furries with extremely low standards. Like, moreso than what you usually expect. Anyways the original animated Robin Hood is effectively sacred for furries since it expanded the list of fuckable characters/animals, especially foxes. Doing a cheap remake is going to be seen as sacrilegious.

Ohmygod I remember on tumblr being an open discourse about how Lilo was so "problematic" and that fans of her were sociopaths or something and why didn't these fans like genuine sweet little girls like Wendy from Peter Pan or something.

Adult fans making discourse blogs about "problematic" Disney characters and how liking a little kid character makes you a nazi is probably the saddest thing to ever exist.

wasn't there some hubbub on twitter a few months back about Lilo going apeshit on some other kid?

Yeah but its such a nonissue. She's a fictional cartoon character. People get deep into that discourse.
It's like fairy tale interpretations but bland arguments and stupid sjw.

yeah I ain't gonna judge because fiction but iirc Lilo really did take it to the woah in that scene

Even though Lilo's a fictional character, did they forget that she's lost her parents at young age and her older sister is trying to raise her while also trying to hold a full time job (along with dealing with the fact that she lost her parents)?

You would think people who always talk about traumatic experiences growing up would at least empathize with the character.

I could've sworn she was being propped up as autistic and so calling her anything else was ableist or some shit.
