Disney now getting sued by TSG entertainment for somewhere in the realm of $40-100M. Basically the same suit that ScarJo brought against them. I don't know if Disney would or even could settle this one since it seems like TSG want handholds in the company more than they want just cash (which Disney is light on anyway). Really hard to say how this one will go or why it exists, since it is very much tribe on tribe friendly fire.

Either TSG (Seelig) is butthurt that Iger is tanking the company and not paying out enough to fellow tribesmen - in which case there will be a quick settlement. I think this is most likely, since there's virtually no other real explanation for why Iger's doing what he's doing than wanting to utterly destroy the company while carving off as much meat as possible for his cronies and countrymen.

Or Seelig doesn't think the destruction and carving is going to happen (or that he's not going to get his proper chunk) and wants the books opened (and hence the house cleaned) so he can get something before Disney goes into rebuilding mode.

I think this one is fairly important, as it could either be a warning shot across the bow for Iger from string-pullers, or just a sign of things to come as jackals start to tear up the carcass. Guess we'll find out in any case, because even a quiet, unreported settlement tells a story.

You think someone at Disney is freaking out over watching Blue beetle low opening after DC marketers pissed off both Mexicans and Batman fans? Almost all Mexicans hate it when white liberals tell them to say Latinx and shitting on them for speaking Spanish.

OK, first of all, it is not Disney related. Second the actor who played Blue Beetle is not Mexican. And third, it will make money it is just having a slow start. Though, it does make me wonder if the Primos thing is still happening or is it totally canceled, because I haven't heard anything about it since late spring or early summer.

Disney is one of the biggest companies shilling Latinx on the Latino population. DC shares the same marketing mindset as the rest of Hollywood, including Disney. They see no difference from an Mexican or a South American.

And? Black Panther wasn't played by a real African. This was clearly WB's answer to Black Panther yet they only ended up pissing off the Latino community.

If people running Disney were smart. They would use the writers' strike to silently cancel the PR nightmare borderline racist cartoon. People running Disney are clearly not smart people.

Dude, I am looking at the poster for the movie and the person playing Blue Beetle doesn't look Mexican, at least Black Panther was played by an African American. Also at least that article is honest, I mean let's face the future of movies is basically Toy based movies, movies based on real people, and DC superheros movies. ( I am saying not only because DC movies are good in recent times (with a few exceptions) but between the Marvel movies delays and now the Marvel VFX strike, it seems like there is a changing of the guards when it comes to superhero movies, it just took a few years and a borrowing of James Gunn). And I think that is fine, with the exception of toy based movies. May I remind you, that Lena Dunham is creating a Polly Pocket movie just because the Barbie movie was successful.
