I really don’t get the Russo’s comments about this being a modern spin on the material when the specific version they are remaking is already a modern spin on the material.

They could maybe lean more into the comedy aspects of the film? The original kind of tried to have it both ways.I really don’t get the Russo’s comments about this being a modern spin on the material when the specific version they are remaking is already a modern spin on the material.
Hopefully they keep the gospel aspect at least. The music is a major part of why Hercules works so well. They could maybe lean more into the comedy aspects of the film? The original kind of tried to have it both ways.
As long as Disney doesn't use its uncanny valley CGI like they did in Rogue One.Well it's obvious why no rip torn, being.... Dead and all.
I have money on by the end of the Chapek's run, the US parks will barley be able to measure up to six flags and cedar fair. Hell it might not be able to since the later two A: has rides that aren't shit (when was the last decent attraction in either land) or have hour long lines for the good ones, and B: doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get in.fun for the whole family

IIRC that's only true for the wider movie industry. Disney actually flubbed a bit and let James Woods have clause in his contract that gives him first dibs on voicing Hades in anything that features the character, there was a somewhat-minor bitchfit within the KH fandom about Woods returning to voice Hades in 3 and there was also a microscopic scare when Hades' Japanese VA popped up in the KH4 reveal trailer. But James woods was pretty much given the boot by the Hollywood leftist elites after he expressed conservative views.
I doubt Square-Enix gives a shit about Woods' continuing to voice the character. Whatever his Twitter behaviour, the fans love his take on Hades and I'd be bummed along with them if they replaced him.IIRC that's only true for the wider movie industry. But since this is a live-action remake I have a feeling that Disney might find a way to squirm out of giving him that first dibs bit.
So now they need to specify what kind of black ethnicity it is to get the first. Anyways I bet they'll change the moral of the original from involving sexism to racism.

I don’t really think ABC is trying anymore. They’re just getting any “First™“ achievement that they can muster up and just call it progress, while not caring about the original story that was/is being adapted.
But they already remade this! I'm kidding, it's probably a live musical thing.

Don't you mean Chris Evans. (I know how many actors with the first name of Chris do they need for this capeshit)Well it's obvious why no rip torn, being.... Dead and all. But James woods was pretty much given the boot by the Hollywood leftist elites after he expressed conservative views. Same thing happened with Tim Allen, it's one reason he's not voicing Buzz Lightyear so much anymore. (the other being the hacks who made Lightyear think he's "too old" so they got Hemsworth to replace him thinking it would resonate with audiences better.)
Disney's wokeness continues. Their new Baymax show has a scene where Baymax buys tampons complete with a troon recommending her preferred brand.

Isn't elsagate more gen alpha? Maybe super late Gen ZI may as well respond to the Hocus Pocus stuff, even if late.
I am not sure I really have a problem with sex depicted in media, or even really talked about in kids media, I just think Hocus Pocus is poorly written that the random adults getting on a young teenager for not having sex seems weird.
The film itself is not really that funny and the plot is shit, so I think more comes off more poorly than was intended. Really, the saving grace of the film was the performances of the three witches, but past that it was pretty hard to have interest.
I guess my thoughts are it’s a bad film. If you like it, cool. I hope I don’t come off as calling for a ban as I genuinely don’t care about the content.
I am going to disagree on this. I don’t think kids are really that behind, hell, most seem to feel they are way ahead on sexualizing themselves.
If we are looking at Zoomer kids shows there has still been tons of questionable material. For early Zoomers, many have taken to Total Drama and Victorious, which are pretty infamous for their questionable content. Really, anything made by Dan the Man or FreshTV was pretty what the fuck at times. As for the later ones, they could get indoctrinated into Tumblr shipping fetishes through Steven Universe or any Cal Farts show. If they don’t have that, then it is weird internet videos like Elsagate content. Movies and tv may not have much of what you are talking about anymore, but kids barely watch them as HollyWood only really caters to desperate Gen Xers and Millennials now. The content is still there, but the game changed.
Once again proving Chris Rock's iron-clad maxim: you can't do shit when you're around niggers."Come To Disney! We have Spash Mountain, Magic Kingdom, and niggers fighting everywhere in ther park!"
Reminds me of this from a few years ago (skip to 0:33)

My only complaint is how come we are talking about all this questionable material in these modern shows went back in the 90s we had Animaniacs having adult humor every few scenes. Is it the way that it was presented how many kids back in 94 would know who Newt Gingrich was other than it being a water tower gag at the end of one of the episodes?I may as well respond to the Hocus Pocus stuff, even if late.

I am not sure it is more strict on sexual content as this thread has clearly shown, Disney is willing to now dive head first into periods and gays. It is just that most creators now are desperate Tumblr women from years ago, so they want to make their smutty orgy rather than the straight content they watched.
There were gay jokes all over the place, but in those days, you couldn't actually say that, so you had to hint at it.My only complaint is how come we are talking about all this questionable material in these modern shows went back in the 90s we had Animaniacs having adult humor every few scenes. What about the abundance of grossout humor from shows like Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, or even Rocko's Modern Life (a show that literally had episodes banned due to heavy innuendo, questionable subjects and and even humor that would go over everyone but only those adults that were in the room.).
Should we be more bias against those shows as we are with a lot of the crap that's coming out for the late Zoomers/gen alpha generation. What's more gross, Ren & Stimpy grabbing onto Powdered Toast Man's ass or SpongeBob getting a splinter shown in graphic detail?
What do you think of the trolls and their changeling switcheroo act with Kristoff? To me, it glorifies child abuction and abandonment.I don't remember the parents too well since they drown at sea within ten minutes anyway, but I was under the impression they just had no idea how to approach Elsa's awakened powers (that she was born with, but apparently never did anything about it) and had to lock her away until they could find a way to get them under control or find a "cure" or something. They were useless, clueless, and neglectful, but I don't think they were villains all along or even disliked their daughter(s). It was a misguided love, I suppose.
Frozen appealed so hard to the Tumblr crowd because "muh lesbians" but it wouldn't surprise me if mommy/daddy issues was another appeal or something like that.
