Deadline is reporting that the Rock and Moana's VA are just now being put in talks to reprise their roles...

This same thing happened with Dan Castelellnella in Aladdin 3 where he was replaced by Robin Williams.

This truly is the straight-to-DVD sequel of the new era

- TLM and Tangled guys are gone
- LMM is not back
- Tiktockers are writing the music
- Disney Animation Vancouver is working on it ( A new studio that's only been open a year)
-Was a tv show but was remade into a film halfway

I smell a success
The live-action remake has apparently also been scrapped:
The former pro wrestler turned blockbuster-maker was producing the previously announced live-action adaptation of Moana through his Seven Bucks banner. However, that project has been dropped from its June 27, 2025 release date and apparently is not even in production. Disney and Seven Bucks did not offer additional comment.

wait, what happened. didn't everybody love the rock?

so did last jedi, and we know how that went. I'm not holding my breath they can repeat that.
The Rock's ego is so bloated. He used to be likeable. my mom used to have a giant crush on him. Now he's just buff guy in film who took a bunch of PEDs all the time. Black Adam was just Dwayne Johnson in a superhero outfit. He was nothing like Black Adam should be.

Yeah Black Adam is essentially just The Rock hijacking the DC cinematic universe and turning it into his own Deviantart self insert fanfic.

Honestly I really enjoyed that movie. The rock was basically playing a biblical superhero who was just icing dudes left and right. The whole conflict was the justice society geting up in his grill for just killing mercs non stop. At the end he fights the devil and rips him in half. I cant get mad at that.

Frankly I wish it was successful. I was hype all the way through.

INB4 MCU unironically makes the Russian a superhero.
He looks fucking hideous, but at-least it's accurate to how troons look IRL.

I agree that it was an entertaining summer block buster, I just found it really funny that the Rock, a multi-millionaire actor, acted look like an autistic fanfic writer when promoting it.

Since he's the only one left of the batch that anybody gives a fuck about (and he has 0 integrity so will do whatever he's told on screen), I can only imagine that's why they haven't tugged to get him to stop sperging about the spicy topics.
at this point I'm just waiting for the inevitable pegging scene in she-hulk season 2...
