Trying to be an edgy contrarian like this won't go over well. Sounds like you completely missed the point of Mr. Rogers and why people loved him so much. - When that show was airing, it put out a bunch of messages to children that they were loved and appreciated; I didn't grow up with this show, but I've come across some people who grew up in abusive homes being raised by spiteful, hedonistic Boomers who appreciated being shown love in some way by someone when they didn't find it in their own families. There were also bits on the show where they would talk about serious political issues in the world (RFK's assassination, fears of the USSR nuking America) to children who may have some knowledge of it in the back of their minds that in a way that would make them feel safe without talking down to them at the same time. Mr. Rogers aged way better than any modern Disney slop ever will.
Interestingly enough, this strikes me as something a 4chan user would type, but trash talking Mr. Rogers years ago is something that 100% of the time would get you banned from any board on that site no questions asked.
