Dude the MOM is straight up the Anti Christ. He's the best kind of liar, the friendly kind that never says anything technically untrue and puts ideas in people's heads. They wont be able to out and out say it but he'll be everything except the name.

I mean look at what xehanort was wearing. Dude had demon goat armor and possessed people.
I also heard that originally, that demonic goat armor was actually meant to be a literal demonic entity instead of a suit of armor, with the entity being the true final boss of the game instead of Master Xehanort. This is probably why "Xehanort" makes all these wierd and creepy noises instread of speaking during most of the fight and why their is so much black magick occult symbolism in that fight. It would honestly be quite interesting to see the series go THIS explicitly far on the existence of supernatural beings even darker than the heartless...

I'm watching HTYD atm and apart from the nigger it's pretty accurate to the dreamworks film. While not a "disney" movie it's pretty good.

*edit

Infact it's 1 for 1 in movie they basically remade the animated movie into live action and i really doesn't suck. It's just as beautiful and magical as the animated movie.

To keep things a bit back on track. I do not believe for a second that Kingdom hearts will ever get an animated show or movie adaptation unless it has full creative control from square. Im certain Disney doesn't have the authority to use Sora without a vote from them, otherwise he'd be in everything. The mouse hasn't been a bastion of restraint otherwise.

Schoolastic tried to make a riku novel and that shit got cancelled hard. Not to mention the one attempt at a Western phone game that was also cancelled

When you think about it, Maleficent literally was grooming Riku and Pete as well to an extent.

Lol kinda but Pete is more is more of a disgruntled office employee she poached.

I think Hades is probably my favorite Disney villain across all the games. Dude never loses his charm and bite. They kept bringing him back due to Woods AND Nomura loving the character. Very nice to see him having a plot relevant role in 4.

I hope we get to see Auron again in KHIV. Since they imply in KHII that he may very well be the SAME Auron as the one from Final Fantasy X, how fucking wild would it be to call back to that and have him be from Unreality, where we end up visiting a Final Fantasy X/VII themed world as a bonus surprise?

He's definitely going to put the focus more on final fantasy as opposed to Disney for this. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he branched off from the Disney world system entirely after this game. As for Auron I don't know, it would fit the theme of Sora being in the realm of the dead. All I know is it's going to feature references out the ass for Nomuras canceled idea to have a GTA final fantasy with magic Yakuza protagonists. Versus(aka FF15.)

If this somehow pans out into a game with Darth Vader, Micky, Noctis and Sora I would be a very happy man. I'll take everything else as a bonus.

I also hope we get a ubiquitous happy ending for this series, no sadfagging like the past few modern FF entries and shit. JUST LET THE MAIN MALE PROTAGONIST GET WITH THE MAIN FEMALE PROTAGONIST AND NEITHER DIE, IS THIS TOO FUCKING HARD NOMURA BECAUSE YOU WANT TO KEEP LARPING AS STEPHEN KING????

I like Nomura as a character designer, but goddamn if he hasn’t been given a role well beyond his skill set.

He fucked up the EXTREMELY easy set-up of having "The Gathering" be a tease for a post-apocalyptic far future Kingdom Hearts game taking place LONG after KHII's familiarity.

I disagree entirely. When you look at his track record with the games it's very impressive. He made a franchise that has had consistently good combat, story and design over a long period of time. Most importantly he pushed the envelope with Disney properties in a way that I don't think anybody else could. Even when they tied his hands with what he was allowed to do with Disney characters post BBS, he pushed it. The biggest fault is that he took a long time to progress out of the xehanort arc. It's a good arc and he's a hell of a villain, but it took too long... The problem here is people assuming it took a long time because of mistakes he made. I don't think he made any mistakes, I think factors outside his control screwed up the story plans post BBS.

The man was supposed to be given a final fantasy to helm after he proved himself with KH. FF13 Versus, a dark companion piece to vanilla FF13 . (Think Nier levels of dark tragedy) He never got the chance because Square fucked up on their next gen development schedule and poached his KH team to plug the million dollar holes in their ship. By the time he was finally able to get enough resources, Square needed a money maker and they needed it yesterday. So after years of stealing his staff, interrupting development and forcing a defective game engine on him, he was taken off the project and it was labeled FF15. They literally took the first part of a 3 part trilogy, cut out all the lore and mythology and made it a single, shallow coming of age story for a gay boy band.

He got shafted for years, and that's why KH3 is what it is. It's a vehicle for Nomura to go to where he actually wants to go and salvage something interesting out of the story he planned to tell. Now, that isn't to say he's going to shaft the KH crew in favor of the old Noctis he wanted to make, but he's going to use Sora to make a creative story where he meets what could have been in a land of death. A hardcore Good vs evil story, and frankly I'm really excited for that.

Im like 90 percent sure he had a completely different road map before his development troubles with versus. To give you an idea, they had a canceled game with Aqua where she literally wandered Disney hell the entire time. (They retooled it into the 2.8 demo/prologue)

Anyways, one of the Heartless in the new screenshots looks suspiciously like one of the hat robots from Meet the Robinsons. Since Nomura largely has control over which worlds get into the game (Why do you think that Hercules keeps coming back), is there a chance my kiwibros?

...I hope I speak for everyone here, by wishing the new Kingdom Hearts game has a plot that makes some form of actual sense.

Kingdom hearts isn't that complicated. There's just a lot of characters and villains to sort through. Everything makes perfect sense in release date order. That being said, it's perfectly acceptable to skip playing some side games and just look up the cutscenes.

I shouldn't have to play 2 DS spin offs to have an inkling of the main villain's motivations. Also, what about all of Xehanort's timey-wimey shenanigans?

I have an idea for a "Bolt" themed world (A childhood favorite of mine), with an original story taking place after the movie:

The Hollywood people from the movie want to make a big-budget Final Fantasy movie because the youths like it.
You arrive during the shooting, but instead of the paid actors showing up, the actual FF main villains show up instead
(Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Kuja, Kefka, etc.)
You go through a gauntlet of boss fights with remixes of each of their boss themes until you get to the old "Bolt" filming sets.
You encounter Dr. Calico who has somehow made himself a real person inside the Bolt world, and you fight him.
You defeat him, he crashes out, becomes a heartless called "Demonic Automaton", and you defeat him
The End

You don't. I certainly haven't. I just watched the cutscenes in the H.D collections. Time travel is a bit more complicated but essentially you can only travel back and forth over the lifespan you lived.... Unless someone remembers you and prepares a vessel such as a clone or doll for you to possess.

Not a bad idea for a mod, but I don't see it. They'll keep to a few classics for 4 and maybe add on somebody like bolt as a summon

Seconding Bolt, it's one of my favourite 7/10 Disney films.

Seems like a bit too little too late. You already chased off that audience by fucking up what they love while screaming “ITS NOT FOR YOU”. Might take a Hail Mary to win a lot of it back.
