Damn the life cycle of toys really is decreasing if bonnie is already giving away hers at like age 7 to the local autistic horsegirl

As if people needed more reason to dislike Bonnie ...

Having Andy give his toys away was a bad way to continue the story, especially after showing Jessie's hurt at being pushed aside by her former girl owner. And then they end up with a child who pushes them all aside for a crappy plastic spoon and now for an electronic toy.

I really would have preferred an outcome where Andy stores his toys away for the future (either for eventual own children or just to keep them around as "old friends", like many adults do nowadays.) and any upcoming movies wouldn't be sequels but set during Andy's childhood.

California will be funding Disney films.
I'm pretty sure the film industry receives massive subsidies from California taxpayers already.

It doesn't work because Bonnie is no Andy. Toy Story 3 was meant to conclude the saga of Woody and Buzz, and more of a "the adventure continues" theme. I liked it better when Bo Peep's fate was unknown, the theme about growing up is that you lose items or people close to you, and being a somewhat tacky ceramic figurine Bo Peep would've been put in a garage sale or gotten broken.

I wish franchises wouldn't be so afraid of dropping the main gang when things get stale, and make new characters in the same universe or something.
Toy story would be a good "universe" to do that with imho. And now that woody is an explorer or whatever it wouldn't even be impossible for the new gang to cross paths with him at some point.

With Di$ney owning Marvel, Star Wars, and the Fox IP library they could do cross promotions! Don't you want to see Thor and Chewbacca in Toy Story 17: Why Won't This Fucking End Kill Me Now!?

I wasnt inferring there needs to be any sort of multiverse or anything if that's what you're on about.
Just the fact woody and the gang are run dry, and the world/lore building they have laid out for the toy story universe or whatever you'd like to call it would accommodate other stories of other groups of characters well I guess.

Toy Story 4 was a bunch of concepts that would've been great for shorts, smashed together into a terrible film and so not getting any proper development. A short about the big prizes at a carnival that never get won could've been really cute but instead we just got a bunch of unfunny antics.

I get your post and agree with it but we both know that Di$ney would do what I posted before they'd ever think of creating new characters.

My Asian coworker saw Hoppers over the weekend. In her words, she "absolutely hated it". She said she hated Mabel and how she was rewarded for having no impulse control. She also said it went about environmentalism the wrong way. Lol, not even your target audience likes your shit, Daniel.

A Casper reboot!
....fucking really?
It is believed to have a dark edge to it the way Wednesday tackles the Addams Family lore.
.....didn't the 1995 movie already do that?

I dunno how they'll blackwash Casper, so they'll totally make his love interest a black girl without taking into account he thinks "Can I keep you?" is a cute pick-up line to a twelve-year-old.

The vibes of that image are menacing and worrying lol. Don't worry, the dreamworks eyebrow will make all the bad bad go way way.

The live action was one of the first movies I remember seeing in the theater. It made me tear up even as a kid when Casper comes alive for a bit.
