They can open a churro stand and draw a line, I'm sure it'll be big enough starting out at least.Galaxy’s Edge opens in April at Disneyland. I’m not sure if it’s going to be a total bust or that side of the park is going to be in complete chaos.
When shit like that happens I'm marginally more sympathetic to them keeping to using IP they own free and clear.
I haven't really followed any developments since "they finally got rid of the stupid hat".Rock n' Roller Coaster Starring The Jonas Brothers
kinda spergy but I've been disappointed at the direction Hollywood Studios has been going lately. I loved the glitzy old movie aesthetic.
Well, they've knocked down the old backlot tour and replaced it with a (really shitty-looking) Toy Story land.I haven't really followed any developments since "they finally got rid of the stupid hat".
I forgot that Galaxy’s Edge is doing away with Walt’s insistence that alcohol wouldn’t be sold in the park (minus club 33).
It's a shame when Walt's vision gets done away with.'cause that would bring in the rowdy element, according to Walt's own words.
I wonder what he would think about the tour groups from South America.

Is the Avatar park open yet? Is it popular? I mean it was a dead franchise before Disney started building the parks. No spin-offs of any kind, books/video games/tv, pretty much ignored after the movie was out of theaters.
I think its been open for a year and a half now and from what ive heard it is pretty popular but i think its less because its an ip themed area and more because the area is very well designed. Nobody cares about Avatar in 2019 any more than the year it came out. People remember it because bioluminescent everything instead of the Pocohantas in space story. Is the Avatar park open yet? Hell the only reason it was big was because it rebooted the whole 3D movies thing. If it hadn’t had that it wouldn’t have been a “thing” at all, look at how quickly it died in DVD/Bluray sales. 3D on a tv isn’t as impressive as 3D on a screen.
South American tour groups on their own are way worse than what's going to happen when Star Wars Land opens, which is nothing. It's going to be, like, 99% half interested parents who want to kick back with a beer or two, and nerds that want to kick back a few and pretend it's like the place in the movie. Epcot has served alcohol since it's opened and nothing happens there.'cause that would bring in the rowdy element, according to Walt's own words.

Wait a minute, he'd rather have this...
I never saw that film, but isn't that the dude who wants someone to finish his sandwiches for him? Sounds like the kind of people who eat paste to me.Wait a minute, he'd rather have this...

"Nondescript coaster... that maybe is themed like India or something"
https://youtube.com/watch?v=WlWmCXihec4
To be a contraditory asshole though it is possible to have an ip based ride and make it good. Indiana Jones is one of my favorite rides. But then there’s a massive difference in ip rides, for example Tower of Terror and Mission Breakout: theyre essentially the same ride but then which would you rather wait in line for? It all comes down to how much heart was put into making the ride.
That's every theme park currently in existence. I don't know if they're the first one to do that, or if it dates back to the early days of Coney Island, but it's far from a unique thing. That's why Disney tries to monetize guests by having rides exit out into the gift shop area and is trying to push their IPs as hard as possible
