Do you come to KF for the lolcows?

I'm definitely here for the cows. I was spiritually a kiwi before I really knew about this place, following and laughing at Ethan Ralph, Sargon, DigiBro and Dick Masterson. I've been reading gossip and blind items online for years. I'd heard the name Kiwifarms before, but never really looked into it / understood what it was.

Then Ralph had Null on for the first time and he explained what the farms were. I was so happy. Lurked for over a year before making an account due to Weeb Wars really catching my interest. Now I spend more time on here than I do 4chan, which was something I never imagined was possible.

Off-topic boards are also fun, especially the slapfights and consistent personalities. Gamer words are also a bonus.

Not any specific cows anymore. Originally it because the CWCki stopped getting those front page updates and you had to come here to see what was going on, though the golden age was already over then and Chris was on his boring and unfunny downturn.

Rarely check any of those threads anymore. Most of them just aren't that funny. Mostly check a few of the community threads, music, games and A&H occasionally. So I'm still pretty out of touch with a lot of the cows and their histories despite being a member here for awhile now.
 
I tried logging onto to OKCUPID to get my dick wet, but mis clicked, and now I just can't leave.

Much better sex too. Someone told me, there's lolcows and shit posting, but my DMS be popping too hard with titty pics.

I found out about KF through Encyclopedia Dramatica, and then watched one of Null's videos on Cosmo which led me here, so I guess I originally came for lolcows. Now I just come here because the rest of the internet has gone fucking crazy. Never would have thought one of the last bastions of sanity would be a gossip forum.

i mean, i am here mostly for the cows, but it's one of the last places on the web where you can be a true and honest spergy shitlord without having to censor or restrain yourself in any meaningful way, with a truly diverse user base, and the pure weaponised autism some of you guys are putting into documenting and archiving cow shenanigans is some top notch online detective work.
slight PL, but thanks to the farms, i've learnt a lot about certain (groups of) people and had to question a lot of my own thoughts and convictions as a result.
besides, i live for the medsperging in some BP threads ngl. kiwi shitlords and shitladies of medical professions, semper fucking fi to all of you xxx

As pathetic as it is, the reaction system is likely what's keeping me here.

Though the write-ups on people I just found (maybe even be a fan of) are pretty informative. It is good to know the dirt the other side has on someone before you kneejerk defend them. I've become more hesitant on defending an online personality ever since coming here.

Call me gay, but I started lurking here a couple months before the Merge and reading all the threads on some internet figures I was aware of. It’s always interesting seeing all this shit you guys manage to dig up on online weirdos, and it’s also good for learning the Do’s and Don’ts of general online OPSEC, which is nice.

More than anything really, it just surprised me how pleasant this place actually is compared to how everybody else in the pozzed out hellhole of the modern internet describes it. For a site dedicated to making fun of people, the users here tend to be weirdly open-minded and welcoming to discussion, provided you don’t act like a retard. It’s something a lot of other social media sites lack nowadays and have been missing for years at this point. Really does feel like a tight community with people who aren’t afraid to call you out on your bullshit, even if said community is akin to a bunch of speds in an autism therapy meeting.

that’s not even considering that you guys are funny as hell. It’s been a long time since I’ve been entertained as much as I have reading through some of the lolcow threads here.

TLDR; kiwi farms is actually chill as fuck, really entertaining, is designed nicely and has a great community of autists. 10/10 would sperg again

Nitpick but it would be nice for the farms to have some form of gatekeeping to keep megaretards like the Vtuber simps out.

Came for the cows stayed for the old-school forum discussion and interaction that's pretty much dead elsewhere online.
 
Kiwifarms is very much like the old Rotten Tomatoes forums in one key way: there were on-topic forums but also many off-topic forums and moderation on the Rotten Tomatoes forums during the golden age of it (mid-2000s) was generally on the laissez-faire side of "reasonable" just so long as you weren't posting anything too pornographic or flame-baity (or, obviously, spam or illegal content).

The Rotten Tomatoes forums weren't like so many of the remaining forums today where merely disagreeing with the far left politics of the board administrators is enough to be perma-banned.

While the Rotten Tomatoes forums withered in the 2010s due to neglect, and they were down with technical issues in the final few years more often than they were up, I think the reason that the Rotten Tomatoes forums were ultimately deleted at the start of 2017 had more to do with the decline of web forums in general, that it was too expensive to keep the forums up for too few users, than it was because some forum users flouted the prevailing ideology.

way back in 2015 i was looking up mr. enter on google when his subforum, the entersphere, showed up in the results. at first i was pissy at all the ~mean words~ but after i found a lot of people were making good points, i slowly warmed up to the place and eventually made my own account.

basically, i came for the lolcows before deciding to stay for the conversations, since most users are adults with life experience who can bring new and interesting perspectives to a discussion without being stymied by in-house partisan baby games. the focus on providing legit sources while archiving them for posterity is also quite nice. i know this is all high praise for a website built around a psychotic, autistic manchild who eventually raped his octogenarian mother, but the rest of the internet is turning into a sterilized husk thanks to corporate ubermensch doing a modern sherman's march to the sea, and in my opinion, literally anything's better than that.
 
Most people only follow one or two specific cows and the rest of the time is spent enjoying the shitposting.
Really understanding and being involved with a cow is a surprising amount of work and reading (depending on how active the thread is) I can’t imagine trying to follow more than like three at a time

girlfriend brought me here a few years ago, decided to actually make an account during the height of the BLM riots after George Floyd because I feared that the site would get flooded with more people and there could be possible account creation locks (what happened temporarily post-merge), stayed to lurk the tranny threads and happenings, then had my first real personal lolcow after Pixyteri in ILJ
 
I definitely came here for the cows, but I seem to find myself posting elsewhere on the site when there's no big event surrounding one.
