Google to Gemini Users: We’re Going to Look at Your Texts Whether You Like It or Not (link)
Google recently sent out an email to some Android users informing them that Gemini will now be able to “help you use Phone, Messages, WhatsApp, and Utilities on your phone whether your Gemini Apps Activity is on or off.” That change, according to the email, will take place on July 7. In short, that sounds—at least on the surface—like whether you have opted in or out, Gemini has access to all of those very critical apps on your device.
Note: Google makes it difficult or impossible to completely disable it (read: remove), as it is integrated in the rest of the Google spyware packages, so it's always an accidental gesture or remote packet received away from being turned on again in most devices running OEM Android.

I searched with the text of a post I wrote (quoted below). On Google, one irrelevant result ("COMMERCE, JUSTICE, SCIENCE, AND RELATED ..." from congress.gov). Also "related" questions on getting diseases in the pool. But on Yandex? That very same "wrongthink" search yielded at least one result about that Swiss pools incident I was posting about.

A pool in Switzerland saw a dramatic increase in crimes -- such as assault -- because of illegals. The staff then banned all foreigners from using it. Now zero incidents ...

BTW, I found the real cause of that ~20 MB download every 20 or 30 minutes: "Safe Browsing". This blacklist of bad URLs which is automatically downloaded from Google, unless one disables Safe Browsing and uses an alternative, like uBlock or a DNS. But unless it's embed vids on other sites, YT still downloads MB of cache data with every vid view.
