It's okay for him to do bad things, or leave the girl if he felt like it. It just wouldn't be okay for her to leave him.

That sense of blatant hypocrisy is pretty common in pretty much anything Chris does. In the comic he ripped off so many things but flipped shit whenever someone tried to "re-purpose" anything Chris drew, and in real life he thinks that some things are okay only if he's the only one that does them.

I don't think Chris has a wholly unified belief in much of anything. He likes the sound of something, so it's true. To himself, he's a faultless god figure who deserves everything he wants and believes whatever trope suits him at that moment. He's barely on the happy side of sentient.

He also thought it was okay for him to unwind at strip clubs and became baffled when Ivy said it should be fine for her to do that too. Alls "love" means for Chris is free sex at the snap of a finger and food with the snap of the other. Whilst sitting on his ass playing games all day.
 
Nope. Nobody likes her. Even the cats and Rocky ditched her the first chance they got to do that.
 
I'd wager that Barb mostly only gives Chris directions and then barks demands at various store employees. When she doesn't get what she wants, she immediately launches into a diatribe about it being terrible customer service and how dare they treat an old woman like that.

Oh well, I guess it could be worse. He could have ripped off Crossed. Now that wouldn't end well.
