With Barrowman and Clarke (Jack and Mickey) actors proven to be "bad" to work with, Eccleston leaving the show because of RTD management. Well i dont have too much hopes, but hey. Show has already died somewhere at hell bent.

I have big finish stuff to catch up to

Speaking of all the shit that went down behind the scenes of the show during the RTD era I'm surprised people aren't trying to find a way to go after or cancel Davies himself. I guess people are too busy simping over him coming back under the belief he'll make the show good again. You have the SJWs who praised him for being so progressive and the "not my doctor" crowd who foolishly think he will get rid of the woke and political elements of the show. I think the latter is far more delusional than the former considering all the political shit in his era.

Yea. I look forward to the butthurts from either side.

:)

Listened to One doctor with my girlfriend yesterday. It was silly and lots of fun. More than i can say for some nuwho episodes we watched.

Yeah Davies loves his gay shit, I dunno what show they watched.

it'll be interesting to see if the neo-davies era will divide the fanbase, even more, seeing how many left-leaning DW YouTubers (Stubagful, harry's moving media, Whoniverse, etc), some of whom also don't like the direction the current era is in (although they refuse to blame woke politics.), absolutely ate up "Years and Years" even tho its extreme propaganda:
Pretty much all of them are positive. I feel like we're headed into another last Jedi situation that is even more divisive than right now. (look on the bright side, it certainly won't be like the 7'th doctor's era.)
I do agree that RTD was restrained when it comes to inserting politics back in his first run. World War Three, Turn Left, and Sound of Drums were about as much as he could get away within the late 2000s, and you can see if you watched them back to back, they were absolutely test runs for an idea davies was bouncing around in his head that was eventually realized as Years and years. (adding to this, the main antagonist/nazi Nigel Farage's name in that program is "Vivienne Rook", which is the name of a minor character in the sound of drums.)
People who believe davies will get rid of the woke politics really need to see Years and Years. If that program is any indication on doctor who's future.... i dread the sheer autism that is coming.

I think Davies knows what he's writing for. I've never watched that other show of his, but that's his own thing and Doctor Who is an established property. Blind optimism I know, but I think he'll do the job properly.

Oh no. This sounds like a nightmare.

The main Flux villain.... is the Doctor's real father.

From the Series 13 rumours in the video:

  • The Weeping Angels are from the forbidden realm and are all controlled by Swarm.
  • In the finale Swarm compares creation to a chess board, where Weeping Angels are pawns to gather energy, and he and his sister are king and queen.

Every time the Weeping Angels have been brought back since their first appearance in “Blink” they’ve been made worse with each addition to their lore.

Over-explaining monsters/villains makes them not scary. Look at Halloween; in the original, there was no reason Michael Myers just snapped and killed his sister, he just did it. He was this unstoppable killing machine, with no clear motivation, and that was part of why he was scary. Giving him a motivation in the reboots/sequels/whatever takes away from that. Don't try to explain the Weeping Angels, just let them be these scary living statues! You think they consulted Moffat on this, or did they just go ahead and shit all over his creations? I hope the rumours are wrong, because, fuck me, that sounds just awful

Pretty much all of them are positive.

For one thing, sure...

Welcome to Stargate's Replicators. At first they were these interesting self-repairing spider constructs that were virtually indestructible. But as time went on, their origin had them created by some advanced alien girl who wanted to protect herself with her toys, and eventually they evolved into a human facsimile.

Boring as shit. Just keep it simple.

The latest series isn't too bad, for a hokey kids' show about a weirdo who kidnaps people and travels through time to fight z-listers in rubber suits. Just a shame that it took so long to realise the audience (kids) love scary shit and cliffhangers.
Also:
It should be called The Wall. During her tenure this bitch aged more than Tom Baker during his tenure as the Doctor.
It's almost as if...
Only troons watch Doctor Who now.
Checks out.

Doctor Hu: he's a demon with ear candles.
Well that explains his tattoo

I was kind of bored of them the second time they appeared. We know the Doctor's not going to get zapped by them so why bother including them? I'm at least enjoying Swarm since the actor playing him is clearly having a fun time hamming it up.

They retconed their origins again in SG: Atlantis.
Now they are creation of ultra advanced Ancient human race .
And it was classic creator is afraid of his own creation so he tries to destroy it.
But of course they failed and replicators did rebuilt and took appearance of their creators.
