Russel has passion and can write decently like 75% of the time. That's a 75% increase over whatever the fuck goes through Chibnall's head on a daily basis because it sure isn't passion.

It should be called The Wall. During her tenure this bitch aged more than Tom Baker during his tenure as the Doctor.

It really should not surprise anyone that Russel wants to have a doctor who cinematic universe he tried to do that last time with torchwood and the sarah jane adventures.

Oh. Great.

Yet another "A mysteriously ominous thing is coming" story arc.

I sure cant wait for it to be revealed to be the most super importantest thing in the universe thats been central to the entire life and history of the doctor and the time lords and the daleks and the fucking macra or whatever, but which strangely has never been mentioned before and will never be mentioned again after the season is over.

....again. For like the 9th time already.

New trailer dropped.

This doesn't look bad. Then again, I felt the same thing when we got a first look at Series 12.
You know what? I'm willing to give it a shot. I gave Jodie Whittaker a shot with her first series, didn't care for it, and haven't watched since, but this trailer makes it look decent enough to at least try it out. At least it can't be any worse than revealing that the Doctor was a little black girl who was basically the source of the Timelord's powers, right?

It can always get worse.

It can always get worse.
Not only that, but the creators have made their contempt for the franchise and its problematic old fans clear, and in many cases straight up explicit, so why exactly would anyone give them another chance?

I mean hell, the fuck is there even to be invested in on the show now?

Even when you factor out the writing that gave us the fucking timeless child, the continuity is turbo fucked beyond repair, all the characters are shit, every old monster has been overused past the point of parody, all the new monsters are just embarrassing, and there is zero indication any of this will change even when RTD minces back into the showrunner role.

Doctor Who: Flux kicked things off with a dizzying, if not confusing, opening episode this Halloween – and by the looks of things, the premiere's ratings are just as unclear.

'The Halloween Apocalypse', which marked the beginning of Jodie Whittaker's final season as the Doctor, attracted 4.43 million overnight viewers when it aired on Sunday (October 31). While that's a dip on season 12's premiere, it's not strictly bad news.

Explaining the figures for Flux's first episode, the BBC's Lizo Mzimbaconfirmed that although the 4.43m figure is down on the 4.88m who tuned in to 'Spyfall', it marks an uptick compared to "most of" season 12's remaining episodes.

As Flux is a six-episode arc, rather than a standalone story, there's every chance those numbers could rise, he added.

"If the one overall storyline/cliffhangers format keeps figures at this level or sees a rise, [it] will be excellent news," Mzimba continued on Twitter. "But if it falls at the rate of the last series, then it's already starting from a lower base".

Offering a mixed appraisal of season 13's initial ratings, he concluded: "Right now, it's in 'not brilliant, not terrible' territory".

Raw data aside, the overall audience response to 'The Halloween Apocalypse' was largely positive, with viewers praising the high-stakes wibbly-wobbly drama and the introduction of the Doctor's newest companion, Dan.

Latest episode was alright, but really messy in a kind of "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" kind of way. Highlights for me included Swarm (he's everything they tried to do with that Tim fella but actually has presence), Dan (nice guy, almost too nice) and that dog alien. Yaz still has no character and the Doctor still refuses to engage with her companions. Chibnall really cannot write naturally sounding dialogue. I wasn't bored at least, so there's that.
