So... something that I just found out, correct me if I'm wrong, but this trial was held in the Oberlandsgericht Nürnberg, right? An appeal usually means that you go from your local court to the higher higher court, ie: Landsgericht, but since this was the Oberlandsgericht already, Rainer actually has no higher authority court to appeal to.
Am I bamboozling myself here? Can it be true? Fuck me, that'd be fucking amazing.

Also my theory still stands: They'll tear down the Drachenhovel, plow that shit into the earth and salt it to make it infertile forever.

I think he could try revision. Appeal is for regional courts, that's true. But this was a district court/higher district court which means he only has the revision as legal remedy. Idk if his public defender will do that with him. Or if the public defender will tell Rainer that there's no point in doing so.

My assumption is that he's now more unstable than ever before and people (who aren't much better than him really) will show up at his house yelling "haha you're going to jail" which might lead him to really cave a skull in, seeing that he has zero self-control and that he probably blames every single hater for him going to jail. What's also really interesting is that the court made a decision today, it wasn't really expected before next week. The judge must've really heard enough. It's not very common.

I think he is likely to be put into a single cell, and kept to a work program with the least possible contact to other inmates. It would help if he registers as a non-smoker, as smokers tend to be put into multi cells, and they might even suggest that he does so since he doesn't inhale and isn't addicted to nicotine.

Of course we all know what Reiner does with well-meaning advice, especially when received as an order.

Absolutely. Dude most likely feels like he has nothing to lose (which is incorrect and he'll learn the hard way if he does something stupid) and the chucklefucks that show up to fuck with im now know they only got another 2 months before he'll move out and might be harder to find/troll.

That was the reason they said publically, but I would not be surprised if the local court did it to wash their hands off the matter and the prosecution might actually want to speed things up a little and do this sneaky little thing so Rainer can't appeal and a revision is a total waste of time.

I mean insults were not the only thing he was on trial for. It took him all of a couple of hours early on to admit to him assaulting several of his visitors. 2 Years for everything combined (i think he was on trial for 7 total counts half of which were insults of police officials)
