i just want to comment, i was thinking it over in my head, it's very possible phil spends 70-80 hours in Act 1, which is the time it took me to beat the game.

like let's look at the numbers here, phil spent 4 hours today and all he did was level up his characters and did 2 fights. that's all he did. in 4 hours. He is 14 hours in and has not discovered the goblin outpost or the goblin camp, only just now met Karlach, hasn't done the hag.

bear in mind, Act 1 has the Githyanki Creche, the Underdark, and the Grymforge. He is 14 hours in and hasn't even gotten to the Goblin camp yet. we could seriously be looking at a 400-500 hour playthrough if he finishes this game, and a 70 hour act 1 if he doesn't at this rate.

He’s not just dumb as a goblin, he’s also lazy and neither has the concentration nor the focus to play anything but button mashing shooters on easy mode.

On the rare occasion where he’s not too dumb to take a hint and the game straight up tells him something, he clicks through it because reading is work and Phil just wants to mash buttons.

Between that and his save scumming, you don’t need a massive paypig conspiracy to explain how slow this goes.

but that's the thing, its not like he's slow because he's intentionally doing every side quest and dragging things out. it's slow because every single fucking choice is "NOW GUYS, WHAT DO YOU THINK? SHOULD I DO THIS OR SHOULD I DO THIS? BOTH OPTIONS SOUND GOOD...OKAY?"

i watched him spend 8 minutes on 1 combat turn, dude. he is so scared of making the wrong choice and getting laughed at like with divinity that he's not making any choices unless they're all peer reviewed.

I can't reply to Jimi's somewhat off topic Cyberpunk rant summary post, but, always note, Phil is salty about Cyberpunk because he asked for and got a refund. So he'd have to buy the game again to play it more and those are funds used to pull sweatyman.jpgs for his downfromtherafters WWE CHAMPIONS TIME account. Always remember his greed and narc ego combine on that topic whenever he's baited about it now.

I agree with both theories, not only is robust support behind da scenes arranged for this game's streams, but, the playthrough verifies sub-90 IQ pigroach in a test of it. Both things can be true at the same time, he can be calm about getting his reverse male stripper head gear on due to prearrangement, and too stupid to play a game made for anyone other than preschool children simultaneously.

Shit, I don't think there have been any pre-arranged tips, and it doesn't seem too crazy to me that this playthrough is well supported. This nigger has been brainwashing his retards to show up for weeks leading up to the premiere of the game. He's been challenging and daring them to show up and support. Most recently used cult tactics to motivate them to support so the trolls could seethe.

I haven't really seen them seethe though. Seems like business as usual to me. And by his description, it's not even trolls who complain, it's his own fans. Sending him emails and writing paragraph long comments on his videos. Trolls don't really do that nowadays, do they? They'd either complain about it here, reddit, the ecks ayupp, or some random discord somewhere.

I'm more of a racing games guy so I don't even know if his playthrough is even all that shit, but I know that he's having his hand held like a toddler.

Yesterday he was REALLY SMUG calling his bg3 playthough a total success and detractors are killing themselves en masse because of it, even though the viewership dropped of a cliff before passing the halfpoint of act 1.

Like for Withers he asked the questions when you first meet him. All Phil could think of is "What is the right answer?".
That's all that goes through his head on what is the right answer to beat the videogame, rpg part of it be fuckin' damned.

I have never run out of actual save slots in a game. How the fuck does this lazy retard just make a new save file every time instead of saving over a older slot. He's not even going back to different decisions to try them out, which is something he bitched about people doing and called that save scumming.

Me being a filthy console peasant that plays BG3 on PS5, I can confirm that for me the game would start having some slight issues if you start running up savefiles.

I heard he got Karlach as a companion. Fun fact about her and barbarians in general: You DO NOT want to equip anything that has a light-medium-heavy armor classification. Barbarians have bonuses if they're unarmored (so wearing anything that is classified as clothes) especially to AP. Their AP's can match a heavy plate wearer with the right items, plus a lot of chest clothes have REALLY good bonus (immunity to elemental types for example), and you can easily shuffle between them. I bet Phil will equip her with something that ruins this real quick.

Armour rating of barbarians depends on their endurance bonus and activates, when there's no armor on character. And they are fun to play as. They have bonus to intimidation and bestial aspect, that gives advantage to it, they can, also, yell at NPCs in dialogues

You know what, but I think he really needs to play more slow ass CRPGs. And I am not even being ironic. It is exactly the game his audience wants him to play. Because they do genuinely go to him for this sense of being noticed. They get filtered everywhere else. They can't really meme or add anything to people who know the game or the genre, because just googling something *most* streamers would do first. But Phil? He can't banter either, and he isn't lifting a finger for info. And his chat will spoonfeed it to him.

And the nice thing about BG3 is you don't have to tip to get noticed. It is a slow enough game with enough right answers that all of them can contribute. Its an actual interactive playthrough, that they can actually feel special enough to actually encourage, a genuine honest tip, for Phil providing a service. Mind you, that service is being a strange episode of Blues Clues.

But, I think his audience will actually support this game, and Phil will be really dumb when he gives it up. Because he will go back to screaming at Street Fighter and CoD, and his fans will have nothing to do but be bored as Phil doesn't pay attention again. And lash out when they try to entertain themselves otherwise.

I'd go beyond that, to any game that requires many decisions and lots of thinking. Tactical RPGs and such. Like you say, these are rare times Dave is actually interactive, which the big dents desire.

Something like Disgaea would be good. He played them pre-streaming days and just rushed through them. He could listen to chat, go to chat saying "rite?" every 5 seconds, pretend to be disgusted by the silly story, etc...
