I had no Idea who he was before this, if anything this will drive gamergate on because this is so far fetched. Like claiming the end of the world bum on the street is crediable.

It's looking likely to be the latter.

There is very little evidence he is just a ruse. He has done some really extreme shit that no one doing this as an act would risk doing.

His poor mother
Just seeing the videos, I can't imagine what kind of hell that poor woman is going through. This is her child, he is now an adult and a former marine, and she obviously can't stop him from doing harm to himself or to others.

Now she has to deal with her car being totaled, the insurance probably won't pay for the damage because he admits to breaking the law and operating it unsafely on the video, but also, this guy was obviously going to attempt to harm a young woman who he is obsessed with. What can that mother do, other than press charges against her own son? Will that help anything?

I'm glad he didn't' reach his intended destination, and I'm holding ALL of the women affected by these Gamergaters in the light.

You know, I'm outside of the whole GamerGate thing, but I sympathize way more with the pros than the antis and this is a prime example as to why. People are so quick to jump on the "MISOGYNY!!!!!!" and "VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!!!!" train it's ridiculous.

I mean, Jace explicitly said that he had no intention whatsoever to harm Brianna in any way. He was actually insulted when someone implied otherwise. All he wanted to do was street race with her; in his warped little mind, doing so would honorably resolve their differences, just like how people in the past used to duel. There was no intent to harm.

I'm not defending Jace because what he did was fucking stupid, but he's not quite at the level of psychopathy that entails invading someone's home and murdering them.

If Deagle Nation was an elaborate troll then the actor playing Jace Connors and all his buddies and some old woman playing Gail have been pouring their lives into this for YEARS now without ever breaking character even once and they've been doing it for an audience of just a couple hundred people on YouTube until now. Plus Jace would have to be a psychology Ph.D student to nail playing a paranoid schizophrenic so perfectly.

Speaking as someone within the ED community, the article has been catching a lot of shit because of its ruse cruise nature but someone had the foresight to realize eventually something like this would happen and they were right.

EDIT: Whoever originally posted the 'whoa' video took it down. It was the clip from stream where he originally threatened Brianna Wu.
