Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I've been watching wikipedia troon Newimpartial for a while in a state of bemusement. If you hadn't guessed from the username, this idiot seems to spend all day, every day sat on wikipedia arguing and trying to threaten with anyone who casts the slightest doubt on the idea that amhole bearers are true and honest women. It's like Bardfinn has metastasised; the edit times indicate someone who only stops editing to eat, shit and sleep. I've got a morbid curiosity how long it's going to take for such an obvious violation of the wikipedia policy on civil pov pushing to actually get banhammered.

The fact that Molly White uses her influence to ensure that troons like Elliot no Dong-Jones get a Wikipedia page is infuriating. The weight of disliking her extreme biases reflecting her Wikipedia edits but liking her documentation on the retards of the crypto world used to be pretty equal so I was neutral on her. But holy shit she is awful. She wants to control the narrative on powerful sources of influence like Wikipedia badly.
There's a reason why troons, who don't leave their sects of the Internet, are somehow willing of a Wikipedia article while Kiwi Farms has its skewwy URL removed, or at least heavily discussed to have it removed.

This is why Wikipedia will never be an encyclopedia, just like troons will never be women. A collection of the personal prejudices of every lunatic willing to police their personal pages and make sure nothing but their personal opinions will ever be allowed there is not an encyclopedia and will never be one.

Honestly, I miss the days where you had autists who made their own website dedicated to insects, sharks, and what not with actual credentials at the top of their page. Wikipedia has fallen into the cycle of journalist says thing ---> Wikipedia cites this even if unverified ---> More Journalists cite Wikipedia to create narrative ---> return to step one.

The autists who run pages about the Geology of bumfuck nowhere don't give a shit about that, but basically give Wikipedia a good reputation. The worst is that because of autists who care about geology, insects, sharks, or obscure architecture helped get the site linked by google and facebook. You look up 9/11 YouTube video? Wikipedia is linked because you can't entertain the idea that Truthers are right that something might be sketchy.
The mark of an educated person to entertain ideas without accepting them. Wikipedia exists to basically censor contentious subjects, they present a smooth narrative on events. Details will be omitted because Wikipedia cares about consensus more than truth. They aren't the Pope asking Gallileo to explain his theory, they're more like MSM reporting on Columbine and taking everything at face value.

It's also completely pointless for youtube to link Encyclopedia Britannica or Wikipedia on a topic that has conspiracy theories about it, what conspiracy theorist is going to look at those links and say "Oh, if mainstream narratives say I'm wrong, I guess I'm wrong"? The only reason youtube does it is to avoid the ire of journalists who would otherwise accuse them of pushing conspiracy theories.

The far-right label is so odd because this isn't a website dedicated to politics like /pol/ or /r/politics. Never has been. There is no overarching ideology we share and the majority of the discussion we have here is apolitical. We have threads mocking Portland Antifa members and threads laughing at Richard Spencer getting punched. No one is off limits and we don't play favorites.

So I have been lurking articles related to the Russia-Ukraine war for delicious drama. I expected the people taking Russia's side to be right-wing Happenings posters, but it's just a bunch of autistic, trans communists who for some reason are fanboys of Russia. Do they think Russia is still communist? I'm not a fan of Putin naturally, but I know the cops would pick up these queers right quick in Russia.

Some of these people have so long and autistically curated personal pages you need to open them on a separate tab to have a hope of reading them.

A few weeks back in this thread there was mention of an ongoing discussion about a user Bedford, where a Wikipedo demanded that he be banned for having "a few Neo-Confederate userboxes on their userpage". The result of the long discussion is that he was banned indefinitely.

But evidently support for North Korea, the Soviet Union, and communist China doesn't raise a single eyebrow.
