E3 2015

Sony I will predict a last guardian cg and gravity rush 2 teaser gameplay.
Also a 5 min talk of their sales and how much they love the gamers.

The Star Wars Battlefront gameplay video was impressive...until you remember all the stuff that they took out.

Also, Luke's ingame model was wrong. It should have reflected how he appeared during the Battle of Hoth. Minor complaint.

I kept some notes during EA's conference...

New Mass Effect announced. Expect about seven months of Mass Effect fans to be analyzing every frame of the teaser trailer.

Need for Speed - Honesrly started falling asleep during it, but maybe its because NFS isn't my thing.

New IP - Unravel. Looks like Little Big Planet meets Limbo. Also the game developer they bought in to introduce it is terribly awkward.

Awkward mascot for Plants Vs. Zombies 2 on stage.... humor, maybe? Lulz GamerGate colors Lulz. I give it two hours before someone makes a meme of it. Also, "Zomburbia?" Since when are zombies capable of creating their own civilization? Picking nits, I know, but still...

...boy, this NBA Live presentation is easily the most jargon-filled, empty sounding presentation I've seen thus far.

Hi.... nameless woman who comes onto the stage and starts talking about mobile games...

Mobile Star Wars game... ladies and gentlemen, I think I know what is going to be on a lot people's "Worst of 2015" lists.

Seriously, they're still going on about mobile games...? Now something with the Minions from Dispicable Me.

Are they literally having a gameplay presentation for A MOBILE GAME? Folks, I know there is a mobile market, but I don't think a lot of them are going to be tuning in the middle of a Monday afternoon to watch a mobile game.

Oh hey, it's story time with Pele. Yes, he's a football legend but... guys... I'm hoping for y'know, vidya in this vidya conference?

Pele mumbles for like 5-7 minutes. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea?

Heyyyy, it's dramatic exposition time... must be time for Mirror's Edge.

After more of the same NFL jargon, Star Wars Battlefront... but at this point, I just really don't give a damn. This show is just terrible. Not even Darth Vader fighting Jedi Knight Luke during the Battle of Hoth can make me interested.

Found this. Not saying it's definitive, cos... well, the internet but check the bottom left corner.

$150!!!

Jesus the EA conference was terrible, the only highlights I liked was the swedish "Totally not Yoshi's Woolly World meets Little Big Planet" man spilling his spaghetti all over and the Zombie coming out to Danger Zone while the crowd remains utterly silent with the presenter being the only one clapping at the end.

AC:Syndicate doesn't look bad.
But Jesus fucking Christ EA and Ubisoft are going full cringe this year. Although I felt for the guy presenting his Unravel game for E3. Although he did something that was hilariously awkward, the guy was clearly nervous and excited to go from working in small room with his fellow devs to presenting his neato game live to thousands.
EDIT: Just watched the end of the Ubi conference. New Ghost Recon, fucking hype! Can't be worse than Future Soldier.

Yeah, new Ghost recon looks awesome, as does The division and Rainbow six siege. Shame they're all shootbangs.

(edit)
Forgot about Trackmania, that looks wicked and for anybody who hasn't played an ANNO game, I highly recommend them, they're really got city/economy builders that are easy to get into but keep you hooked.

Aw hell naw.

Anyway, watched the Ubisoft... more of my free-range notes....

Starts with South Park and Aisha Tyler, complaining about E3 mics and swearing. I'm liking this show already.

Aisha Tyler about -this- close to dropping the spaghetti about the gaming industry during her intro.

"For Honor" announced. 4-man team melee combat game... and Jason Vananberg game designer (sp) is hamming up the announcement. At least he looks the part. Game looks like if Dark Souls and Dynasty Warriors did the fusion dance.

Aisha Tyler informs me I'm not able to drive to the moon. I am crushed by this revelation.

The Division is intriguing... but at the same time I really can't stand these canned VOs.

Aisha Tyler discriminating against people with Rickets. Someone call the SJWs.

Fuck, they got Jason DeRulo for the Just Dance announcement.... losing... interest....

...and apparently Jason doesn't know the words to his own song. Not quite as the awkward as Storytime with Pele, but that's going on the awkward reel.

Angela Bassett is the deputy director of the Rainbow counter-terrorist team. SJW whining about the Rainbow Six Seige being sexist can stfu now.

--had to step out due to a work issue--

---coming back in at Ghost Recon.... and they did the exact same pull-away to view the whole world shot with that car game from a year or two ago... just swap out the cars for extras from Medal of Honor.

So crap, missed the only part I wanted to see Assassin's Creed: Syndicate... sigh.

Last up... Sony.

Sounds kind of like Chivalry.

Sounds kind of like Chivalry.
I was thinking that too, except For Honor is third person and the graphics have a much more gritty feel to them than Chivalry does. I bet however the mechanics are most familiar to Chivalry since it looks like it relies more on the player timing their attacks rather than just pressing X to spam an attack.

But yeah, Ubisoft is really humping the idea of co-op tactical team games. Ghost Recon, RS: Siege, For Honor, and The Division all have the team mechanism... I bet they're really pissed that team gameplay for Assassin's Creed didn't pan out.

Sony predictions.

Morpheus: Apparently they have a lot of floor space dedicated to it, they're gonna talk about it at the conference. How much is anybody's guess because it can't be effectively demoed on a stage.

They're going to mention the Playstation Now game streaming service, but I feel Microsoft may have pulled the rug out from under them with their backward compatibility announce.

Uncharted gameplay.

Ratchet and Clank gameplay

No Mans Sky demo, possibly releae date.

Possible: The Witness release date.

Bloodborne dlc

Various Indies.

Squaresoft, Probably FF 5 and Kingdom Hearts

Starwars Battlefront marketing deal.

Something from Housemarque, possibly their collaboration with Eugene Jarvis.

Something something, last Guardian, something, something.

Persona fucking 5.

At the end, mark Cerny kicks his way through the background screen and announces a Final Fantasy remake and this time you can save Aeris and shouts "There, are you fucking happy now??"

I may miss the Sony conference, but at least there will be news about it shortly afterwards. Hopefully I'll catch a video of it before Nintendo's Digital Event.

Plus there's always this thread for information anyways.

There won't be anything about FF15 on E3 because they want to show new stuff on Gamescom. Plus they dumped the new demo last week.

Just saw the new trailer for MGS V: TPP. So does this mean that young Solid Snake will make an appearance and David Hayter was trolling with Kojima all along? Or realistically it might be Solidus?
