Ok watching the 36 min FF CHAOS gameplay. Its not as shit as the trailer made it seem. But it does seem very generic. Its something I might get if it gets a very heavy sale.

What is the deal with China? They used to be innovators in the past, what happened? Why can all they do is copy today?
I blame the current communist cultural limitation on free thinking and trouble of pitching a unique ideas while its much easier to copy. Also probably game design isn't much of a focus in Chinese education or is frowned upon by families and not a really career.

Remember earlier today when Nintendo did their Direct and showed a bunch of video games and there weren't any trannies or thinly-veiled Communist propaganda?

That was nice.

Who knew that doing the bare minimum of showing games in a simple and consist manner would be enough to outshine every other presentation and ire the envy of millions of Sony fans. Times sure have changed.
But isn’t it interesting how the one company that had no presentation is also the one company consistently releasing games for the past year or so? What big Xbox or Nintendo games came out this month comparable to Ratchet?

Halo was already delayed and does not have a solid date still. Good luck trying to compete against COD or Battlefield anyway. The biggest Switch game for the rest of the year is SMTV and it’s not even made by Nintendo. The latter two console makers have been dry since the Kung-Flu hit, and Nintendo is just now starting to remedy that.

Xbox and playstation have not had a solid game in years.

Theyve been expanding to the PC market by basically porting all their games to steam with their half assed steam clones as well.

Hold on I know there’s a hate agenda against TLOU2, but are you also in denial of Ghost of Tsushima and half a dozen other games that have came out since the PS5 launch? I don’t care if you don’t like any of these games that’s not the point, but Sony’s content output makes Microsoft and Nintendo look dead by comparison.

If they would drop the artificial scarcity bullshit as a marketing scheme I might care about PS again at some point.
Most of Xbone/PS's games are also on other platforms with a hand full of exclusives that eventually get ported to PC.

I had a friend back in the day he was very prone to lying and making stuff up, one example was that he claimed you could obtain a Fire sword in Ocarina of Time by doing convoluted shit, anyway, back in like 2007 (I think) he claimed that Metroid Dread was just going to be delayed for a long time, but would eventually come out, I can't believe that in some way he was right, rest in peace you magnificent bastard :semperfidelis:

Your friend was right about the fire sword in Ocarina of Time, too. You just have to put away your sword while in the middle of a swing while crouching.

a server I'm on went into full Zelda autism mode trying to figure out where/when BotW 2 is going to take place. At this point I'd rather join their autism and have a good time on the internet than stay in the FF/Square community and be all butthurt about FF: Origins which looks like utter dog shit that's been recycled too many times.
Botw 2 takes place shortly after Botw. it's kinda like how Majora's mask takes place shortly after Ocarina of time. This isn't a thing that really needs too much theorization.

but thats the "inifnite blade" glitch or something like that; Its not a third sword Sheik gives to you after you do a ton of convoluted stuff like getting the Kokiri sword as an adult

God, I still remember the computer scan on the pirate homeworld. Prime's atmosphere and lore makes me hard, that ost droning ominously in the background. I will forever be in awe of what Retro's art direction was able to do with the shitty Wii hardware, the game still looks aesthetically vibrant.
That is exactly the reason Prime 2 is my favorite fucking game ever.

This is how little they think of the west.
Good. I hope Japan stays Japanese and doesn't include any left wing cringe games as the thumnail. I played Life is Strange and it was just average at best, why do people love it so much?

Fatal Frame looks really good though I'll play it on Switch for sure.
This is how you do a presentation. Fuck the homosexual panels, fuck interviewing e-sports "celebs", fuck LA hosts telling you what to get hyped for, just show what's coming up and give people what they want.
Exactly. People watch game presentations to see games. Not to see a bunch of faggots and niggers crying for representation in gaming.
Metal Slug Tactics looks fuckin great, I love the series and I’m glad to see we’re getting new content. Fio best girl.

I agree about MST looks new and fresh but I still want a new MS game. I love that franchise to death. Also no, Eri is best girl

for someone with a dragon as your avi, you've got the memory much more closely resembling a goldfish. Between Bowser's Fury, New Pokemon Snap, and Monster Hunter Rise, along with others, Nintendo's doing just fine in 2021.

i like how you had to specify THIS MONTH in a vain attempt to pretend that nintendo hasn't been pretty damn solid in the first half of the year. and we're only halfway through the month too. Hell, name one thing Playstation released last month that wasn't cross-platform or a port.

looking at what's coming up, the few things I'd care about getting that are on PS4/5 are either also on PC (Psychonauts 2) or also on switch (NEO World Ends With You). Rift Apart is basically a $570 purchase right now because god knows there's nothing else exclusive to PS5 and not that much even coming out for it. Comparatively, Switch has at least 1 game exclusive to it for every remaining month of the year confirmed. That might be because we're still waiting on Sony's midyear presentation, to be fair, but it's hardly Snoy being this reliable producer of titles.

We’ll all be six feet under at the rate that Sony is porting games (1 game/year with nearly 100 more and counting across both of their current consoles). Switch hardware is so far behind that the games can be emulated before they actually come out lol.

“Artificial scarcity”? What good would that do PS when there are PS5-only games on the market? You’re not making sense. The only company guilty of stimulating FOMO with consoomers is Nintendo (Mario 3D All-Stars).

Really off-topic but here is a video of ADVChina (A couple of foreigners that have been living in china for years) where they explain why China is set con copying/pirating everything (In this video they visit a pirated town by the way)
TL;DW: Chinese culture is different from western culture as it's based on Confucianism, with one of the roots of confucianism being the lack of individualism, where individuals are expected to take into consideration their wider context and connections. For one example imagine you are a chinese student and someone asks you for your homework, in America it would be seen as normal to tell that person to fuck off or ask for something in exchange, in China however not sharing it would be seen as selfish and would cost you a lot of face with everybody else.

These guys also have another video on this subject that I recommend watching where they explain that when marrying In China you don't marry only your wife but her whole family, with dozens of traditions that must be followed, the worst one that I heard probably being the lack of husband/wife intimacy as your parents in law may move in with you should they desire to and not only would it be perfectly socially acceptable but also failing to accomodate them is equivalent to failing your wife.
