No.
The Wii killed Nintendo's output for years. They hit it big with Wii Sports and phoned it in with shovelware until the WiiU. And because casuals didn't jump on the WiiU, they resorted to pandering to nostalgia to limp along until the Switch. Unless you want to argue Wii Music and Metroid Other M compares to Mario 64 and Metroid Prime.
I would go against this notion. The Wii’s output was honestly some of the strongest in many ways, and I think it gets overlooked by the boiling down of the Wii into 3rd party shovelware, and that one 2009 E3 conference with Wii Music.
The Wii gave us Metroid Prime 3 and the Prime Trilogy with better controls. Pikmin also got better controls. Donkey Kong escaped Konga hell and can back with a stellar 2D platformer that would be topped later by the Wii U’s Tropical Freeze. Kirby also had a stellar comeback with Return To Dreamland, the first game after a long period to full grasp Super Star and what made it work. Then there were the Mario spin-offs, which, barring party, were the least phoned in they have ever been. Strikers Charged and Super Sluggers are held as the top Mario sports for a reason. Sluggers had an insane roster and a great story mode, while Charged was a much more polished version of the beloved GC title. There was also Mario Sports Mix which was pretty polished for having 4 sports, plus it had Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest characters. Then finally for sports there was Mario & Sonic, which had great 2nd and 3rd entries that made full use of the bizarre concept. Outside of those, Mario Kart Wii is up there as the best of the series, and Fortune Street was an underrated gem that combined Mario and Dragon Quest for Monopoly. I will also always defend Brawl as it was the last Smash game to have ambitions that go past, Smash, but a bigger roster.
The Wii is great if you know what to look for. Personally, I usually just stay away from mainline Mario & Zelda, as they are weaker entries, along with the very blatant bad titles like Wii music. Other than those though, Nintendo really didn’t coast during the Wii.
Now the Wii U, most certainly. Most titles were underdeveloped as Nintendo rushed games along to get them out. Its best titles are better on Switch, which would be Hyrule Warriors, Splatoon, and DKCTF, so just buy them there. Then 3DS was fine. I will say, I am not enthusiastic about the 3DS, but it had its moments primarily with the Kirby and FE titles, and one-offs like Kid Icarus.
