E3 (but not really) 2022

@I (Don't) Have A Gun

What @ZMOT is saying that is that all the genres are derivative of each other. There's not really going to be an original idea because everything has been done decades before. Mechanics have been hammered out and people go with what works because well...it works. Stuff can be mixed up and mechanics fine tuned or placed in a different order, but it's not actually original. People call shit clones because they just want to dust the game off. But also the developers tend to know what their audience likes and what's going to sell so they can keep their lights on.

You mean those weird brothels camgirls made?
More like living alone in a one bedroom apartment surrounded by animals, childless and no family, focusing on nothing but interior decorating and posting your newest finds online.

Don't kid yourselves, some of these indie games have real budgets and sometimes it comes out of your tax dollars. It's called an "arts grant" and you get one if you show up to the meeting dressed like a kindergartener but with facial piercings and funny-colored hair.
Most of the world doesn't live in Canada.

I guess it takes one to know one, hence your obsession over Sony and physical games
Your insults need to start lifting, because they're weak.

Yeah, but they made brothels to have boys pay them in peaches or whatever the currency is for... things. I forget what exactly, but it was weird shit.

From CNET: "We'll also be getting a 90-minute extended showcase on Tuesday, June 14, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET/6 p.m. BST/3 a.m. AEST on Wednesday). That'll include new trailers, deeper looks at Sunday's news and interviews."

So to get the full Xbox/Bethesda picture you have to watch 2 streams days apart that total 2 and a half hours. Seems logical.

Edit: I get the feeling the show on Tuesday is just going to be the presentation from today with an additional half hour of stuff

Rise and grind gamers, time for another day of shit. It's Xbox and Bethesda this time though, so I expect at least some decent announcements. Awhile ago rumors of a Quake remaster were going about so maybe we might get something on that?
You mean the Nightdive one? That already released, unless you're talking about something else. Nightdive is also going to be at today's PC Gaming Show, but I don't know if they'll do anything other than show off more of the System Shock remake.

I'm so excited for the new Fable, with an open world map 300 times bigger than the original with 1200 question markers scattered across. Your character will have voice this time too, how exciting! Remember you could choose tour gender in previous games? This time it's going to be a slider from type A to type B, welcome to 2022.

Is it weird that refuses to touch those games because of redditfags soying out 24/7 about Persona or Yakuza? Am I just too much of a stubborn cunt to play them because of their fanbase? Ill let people be the judge of that. but I used to be the same about Eurojank games, but a lot of them now tend to be really fun especially of the AA range, and with the USA, as long as the devs aren't in NYC or West Coast (which is getting smaller sadly) it has a higher chance of beting half decent.
Yakuza is unironically kino also stop taking redditors opinions seriously also start with the og 2 rather than kiwami 2 but persona is pretty faggy yes

Take this with a grain of salt the size of Jupiter, but....

Rare's Banjo-Kazooie Is Rumoured To Be Making A Comeback

Rare's Banjo-Kazooie - starring the bear and bird who made a name for themselves during the Nintendo 64 generation - is rumoured to be making a return. In the latest episode of the Nate the Hate podcast, game developer Modern Vintage Gamer suggested a revival could be on the way, based on some things he had been hearing around the industry.

Here's exactly what he had to say (via VGC):
“I have spoken to a lot of people, and I’m not an insider, I’m a developer, but sometimes I hear things and I was at GDC earlier this year and there were some people talking about Banjo.
“I’ve heard that Banjo’s coming up for months now, from different people. Something’s happening with Banjo, what I can’t tell you is what that is."
MVG doubled down in a follow-up comment, stating how he "feels pretty strongly" that something related to Banjo could be announced during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase later today. The last entry in the series Banjo-Kazooie: Nutz & Boltz was released exclusively on the Xbox 360 in 2008, it was arguably a game that failed to live up to the legacy of the Nintendo 64 originals from 1998 and 2000.

Although the IP is now the property of Microsoft, as Nintendo Switch fans will know - the famous duo have returned on a number of occasions to Nintendo platforms. Three years ago, Banjo-Kazooie appeared as a DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and earlier this year, the original Nintendo 64 classic got released on Nintendo's Switch Online service. Banjo-Kazooie isn't the only old-school Rare game rumoured to be returning. There's strong evidence that the classic first-person shooter GoldenEye 007 (originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997) is also getting revived. Some speculation has even led to theories about a possible Switch Online release of the original title.

What do y'all think? Will the bear and the bird actually show up, or is this a bunch of bullshit?
