I want to see if the rumors are true that the second part of the remake is going to have an overworld where you can drive around like 15.

This is legit the one video game sequel I've been salivating for Capcom to make for years. And to get it now, on the RE Engine, no less...to finally get the world of Gransys, those killer monster and armor designs (not to mention Madeline's amazing rack) realized in crisp modern graphics, free of the jank of MT Framework, I can't even. Like, just imagine seeing some of this shit, but on the same engine as the RE2 Remake:
Fuck Street Fighter, fuck Monster Hunter, fuck RE4, fuck literally everything else Capcom's announced...give me my High Fantasy Acid Trip.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised that Capcom hasn't remade the original Resident Evil again to keep in line with 2, 3, and now 4's remake. It seems like the odd duck out with the older tank controls and odd camera angles.

Is Dragon's Dogma really that good? The gameplay must carry it because I never hear anyone praise its story or characters, and the art style is bland.

The gameplay rocks but the whole pawn system adds another layer of entertainment with all the freedom it gives with customization

I guess I missed all the shit yesterday, not that there was much to really miss. More parts of an apparently pretty mediocre remake of a shit game that came out over 2 decades ago and started a bunch of really bad trends that continue to haunt the industry to this day. That and Dragons Dogma 2 shirts are on sale I guess. I'm just glad all of Squares actually talented studios got the fuck out of there and took their IP with them. Now Square can go bankrupt after Final Fantasy XVMLXIVIIXMMLLLVIXI: REmake Azimuth Venipuncture + _ EX 379/4 Months Hyper Edition flops for all I care as long as Nier doesn't get dragged through the mud too much. Thank fuck those retards no longer have their grubby mitts on Deus Ex.

If you haven't played the first game and want to get it legit, it's for sale on Steam now until the 23th.
That's it? Really? At least Deus Ex was sold to Embracer, so there's hope that won't be fucked up by Squeenix.
If the Direct shows a port of MadWorld and Anarchy Reigns for the Switch it would be the last straw for me to actually get the console. But that will obviously never happen.

Kind of a cult classic AA game from the 360/PS3 era. Action RPG with fantastic combat, many deep layers of customization for both your character, and your pawn, got some solid music, and while the story and characters aren't as developed (you have a silent protagonist that you create from scratch up, your pawn acts like a lobotomy patient, story is pretty simplistic til a certain point, every romance option is playersexual) there's some memorable moments in there, more if you go out of your way to do stuff like the very few relevant side characters' quests, or completing a second playthrough
The Dark Arisen expansion is great, too. Legit scary sometimes. Now that i think about it, i haven't finished that one yet...

I remember trying it like a decade ago and thinking it was "okay". I think most games are just okay though so that's not really a mark against it.
