I don't support slavery for anyone. If it were up to me we wouldn't have such a high demand for these things, there would be limits to how many electronics you could buy and people should have to go back to landline phones if that's what it takes to keep people from having to rely on literal sweatshops.
You act like you care about things like that but you really don't because it would cause discomfort for you. You couldn't stand going back to a landline because your autistic ass would actually have to speak to people when you want to communicate instead of sending a text.

Except that EBT recipients often don't. If 90% immigrants to the U.S. spoke perfect English and didn't take a penny of government or charity money, the general public wouldn't have as a big as a problem with immigration. "Why do you hate x?" and "What if x was completely different?" are two very different questions.

It would be an educated (in theory) workforce with OSHA and workers' rights. People would be able to make a living wage no matter what they do, and the quality of things will improve.

Right now stuff is made cheap and disposable so they had to make it as fast as possible because it gets thrown away almost as soon as the customer brings it home. If we had products that last longer then it would be fine if it takes longer to produce them in a better work environment then what China provides. We need to slow down and we can't when whe have such a complex supply chain where everyone races to produce cheap crap as fast as possible.

Or didn't do crimes and raised their children to be Americans. This is where I start to have problems with dual citizenship. Man cannot serve two masters, but that is another discussion.
 
I'm searching for a post I saw I think yesterday, either in this thread or a thread in A&H. Several blacks try robbing a jewelry store, store workers remotely locked the front door and started firing at the robbers. Hilarity ensues as robbers scramble for cover, one of them mortally wounded.

Laziness. It drives me nuts because it’s basically the standard now. Normally I follow news closely and many of the mistakes and bad work is due to people needing to be the first to post something. But there’s no rush to make this. It’s not a breaking story. Someone isn’t going to beat you to the punch.
