No one ever is topping Jeet Nigger Justin Trudeau

Canada elected this dude's party three times in a row, while he drove the country into the pit.
Isn't cooking lobster just putting it in boiling water?
I've found it works out better to steam it.
You also don't have to worry about the lobsters flicking their tail and splashing you with boiling water.
Major shortcoming is that if you cook a lot of lobsters in the same pot at once, the ones on the bottom will condense the steam and cook more than the ones on top. Even if you don't have them piled in layers, one cold lobster will steam differently from two cold lobsters unless you've got a very oversized pot at a rolling boil to produce steam. With a big pot of boiling water, there's more thermal mass and it circulates better, so every lobster cooks consistently, but the meat is more likely to be bland and rubbery vs. steaming.

Went to the grocery store yesterday after work and nearly everything in the meat department had discount stickers (not super uncommon on unpopular cuts) or double discount stickers (which I have never seen before). It was not my plan to have 15-20 pounds of various animal pieces in my freezer when I walked in the store yesterday, but 75% off porterhouse steaks and boneless pork shortribs? Curiously, none of the chicken was discounted.

Why is this not being called The SNAPpening?

European common law has existed for almost a millennia now. "No freeman shall be taken or imprisoned... or in any other way destroyed... but by the lawful judgement of his peers", that ring a bell? Not all of Europe was quick on the uptake of common law (and the kingdoms that did have it on the statutes didn't always adhere to it 100%), but the concept has been around for a very, very long time. As for horse & cattle rustlers, justice was the way it was back in those times for a reason. life was hard in the frontier and everyone needed to cooperate to survive. Banditry could have and would have caused untold damage if not kept in check, so anyone caught was made an example of to deter other would-be outlaws. hell, the entire concept of being outlawed was a deterrence. it's in the name itself, they were outside of the law, so anyone could do anything to them without consequence. An outlaw sought to live by depriving the rights and livelihood of others, so all rights were deprived from him.
The original statement was something along the lines that "human rights do not exist if they require the labor of others". I partially disagreed with that statement because the legal system involves the labor of others and right pertaining to children involved the labor of others. The next poster irrelevantly sperged out about children being economic resources in the past. Now there seems to be a Captain Obvious derail about the concept of human rights evolving over time. It doesn't change the fact that at least some modern rights do involve the labor of others.

It's a testament to how successful the systems of ordered liberty white men created have been to have so much civilizational inertia as to be able to support this huge number of parasitic luxury ideals that no one will be able or willing to defend after the fall.

i think I might know why there were less chimpouts. Some states chose to finance snap using thier own money.
IIRC, the estimates I was told were put forward show that the states able to do this will not be able to fund this past maybe a month and the selection on who gets paid out will be stringent.

My source is an immensely boring and autistic man droning for hours at the group of people I play tabletop with, so for all I know this could be incredibly incorrect

Human rights aren't active things - they're not obligations you can put on others to do. They're passive things - protections against what can be done to you. You have a right not to be silenced, you have a right to assemble, you have a right to defend yourself. I don't think any rights are things that let you force someone else to do something.

Anyway, the very fact that this discussion is now filling the thread suggests that this Happening is not in fact happening yet.

Went to an inner-city Kroger late last night before they closed. 2 security guards alerted me that EBT payments are down. They also relayed this over the intercom several times. They had two self-checkouts open for 30 people. There were more security guards than staff, and I think there were maybe two staff members. I saw an Asian guy rescan all of his items, and struggle to type in pineapple on the checkout screen. A group of future doctors and scholars in front of me got their card denied a few times and ended up walking out with their bag of chips. This is pretty normal at this Kroger. You could tell the security guards were uneasy, since all they have to protect themselves besides their tactical gear is a little bottle of pepper spray. Not too bad of an experience, and I got to see a lot of people in costume which is always fun

As an aside, I did go to a Walmart earlier yesterday to buy ammo (lol), and had a really nice conversation with a cashier. This was in a much richer area. The cashier was masked and worried about Monday at 6:30, allegedly when the riots and looting will start. Besides that, we talked about gardening, hunting squirrels, retirement, trucks, and the size of candy bars. This was the best experience I've had in a Walmart in maybe a year, even though they only had half of my grocery list besides the ammo.

I forgot to buy more flour to make bread for my lunch.

You've clipped the important top part of that off. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the full version makes clear that the Democrats have actively voted against funding SNAP.

I think this from

is also something that needs to go around to show exactly what the Dems are demanding (shared by @Bland Crumbs earlier):

There's a lot of political value in making clear to people that Democrats wont approve SNAP funding unless they get extra traffic rights for driving an electric car.
But I thought republicans don't support big government and welfare systems?

Are there even enough blacks in Utah for that?
It’s actually far more likely to be Hispanics and illegals than black. There’s like over 15% of Hispanics and less than 1.5% in all of Utah. There’s more violent parts of Utah like Ogden have much higher percentage of Hispanics lmfao. 26% in Ogden and that’s supposed to be a legit shithole shock shock.

This is according to Google and you have to ask the question fairly neutrally to get a straight answer from the AI, as I’m lazy and have literally no fucks to give about the racial make up of Utah lol, you just struck my curiosity. If anyone knows anything else or would like to channel your autism in this I’d appreciate it.

Will my food stamps renew? Across the country, a chorus of desperation and anger

The Trump administration had said SNAP food assistance wouldn’t be distributed in November because of the government shutdown. But on Friday, a judge ordered that contingency funds be distributed.

the legal system involves the labor of others
And if a legal system cannot be provided, the accused has to be let go. Society as a whole is attempting to infringe upon that person's liberty, so society has to pony up for it.

This is not rocket science. Actual, real human rights in a rigorous philosophical sense still exist even if no one else is there to provide you with anything. Everything else is just gibs.

There are no such thing as human rights at all. There are no universally agreed rights that every country shares.
We have the laws of man and civilized polite society. That's all we're hanging onto as a collective, the gentlemen's agreement of "I won't do it to you if you don't do it to me" pact.
I'm so sick of people acting like every little thing is their god given right. God didn't give us shit as humans except the gift of life. The rest of it is up to us to figure out.
Human rights, are a western concept, and the reason why the left screeches about them while screeching about de-colonization, is because cabals of rich people are trying to take away our rights so that they can become richer and more powerful. Behind the marxists are billionaires, because those billionaires realized that the best way to screw over poor people is with marxists.

I love how every person in that article looks fat and is likely diabetic.

i dunno man i think healthcare is a human right
Everyone gets healthcare. What you mean is that you think it’s a universal right for someone else to pay the bill for the goods and services. If we accept that standard then nothing can ever be charged for because it would obviously be less important.

I know this is supposed to be a joke, but "they" were actively feeding cows parts of other cows and sheep for protein, and only stopped because of mad cow outbreaks.
They're still pumping them full of growth hormones. Apparently 92% of US beef is raised with hormones.

Those cows are lucky they are destined for slaughter before they start growing tumors and other defects later in life. I once saw a cow that was somehow missed for slaughter and ended up living for a few years longer than it should. Thing looked like it was born in Chernobyl.

You ADHD niggers who thought planet of the grape apes was going to break out at the stroke of midnight on Nov 1st and then had the audacity to post “nothing ever happens” need to chill your timmy ass out.

Nobody on SNAP was going to immediately run out of food and go into starvation mode in a single day. SNAPpers always have a surplus. If shit does happen it will happen after a couple of weeks when their snackie cakes, hot pockets, and ghetto juice runs low. They’ll start chimping when they can’t buy drugs, alcohol, and/or cigarettes by selling their EBT/SNAP for cash. The chimpening won’t start until welfare recipients truly start feeling the squeeze.

My prediction is that Republicans will cuck before that happens because they are feckless cunts and nobody can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like they can. But that won’t be a good thing for anyone.

I’m sorry for the people in genuine need who will be affected by this, but consider how bad shit will get for you if Replublicans cuck to the Democrats again? Your benefits will eventually be cut to accommodate 20+ million illegals who will be given health care and benefits that should have gone to you and yours. The system will be unsustainable (it’s barely sustainable now) at the point and everyone will suffer for a much longer time than just these few weeks or months until the Democrats stop playing chicken with the Republicans, none of whom will ever suffer the way you do, by the by, and many of whom use loopholes to avoid paying taxes themselves.

Do you really want to live like the Venezuelans for a hamburger today? Import the third world, become the third world. Mamdani is about to win in NYC and he wants taxes to be raised to 52%. With his psychotic grin, he wants you to pay the government more than you get to take home. There are other socialists aka commies popping up in other elections who are also winning with the same strategy. Tax the rich! Tax the rich! But the rich don’t pay taxes and they ARE the rich.

What will happen is that they will continue to destroy the middle and working class who actually do pay taxes and because those brackets will become smaller and smaller, the system will become burdened to the point of literally snapping (pun intended) and EVERYONE will suffer …. long term. And you won’t really have anyone to blame but yourself because you let these people come into your country, rise to power, and take all your shit from a system that is ALREADY overburdened. Fuck you’re stupid. 🤷🏼‍♀️ oh well.

The thing with EBT is that unless the Government isn't fullfilling on money they've already "deposited" (it's all fake), there's likely a few hundred dollars left on the card. So by election day, things will probably be pretty tense. I'll remind you, that's only Tuesday of this coming week. If the Government isn't funded, even well stocked EBT dependants will start to sweat as the "new food" fever sets in.
Most modern folks don't really have the psychological fortitude to eat beans for a week, or white rice and plain hamburger for months to years. They're used to Ritz crackers and plastic bread. Processed microwave meats, and bricks and bricks and bricks of cheese.
Sugar addiction is a bitch too if you can't get your fix from plain old peanutbutter and jelly.

What I'm saying is, the first day somebody quits cold turkey---they look pretty tough, but by the end of the first week, it gets rough.
