Should also be noted that President Trump cannot run again. He shouldn't worry about the polls. And the longer this shutdown goes on, the more blame accrues to the Dems. When the WaPo and various unions call you out on your illegal alien-loving shit, you know you're the problem.

trump might not be able to run again but jd vance or other members of trumps party could instead so the argument could be made that it is in the best interest of the GOP to make sure trump is seen in a positive light by the end of his last term unless they are going to decide to go entirely against everything trump related once he is out of the picture which could happen.

Suggest that's likely why he moved on tariffs early. Also why the ballroom is being done now. We should also remember the conflicts he's helped to stop, such as between Thailand and Cambodia, working for peace in Gaza, and trying to stop the Russo-Ukraine war. The more flak President Trump takes now, the less in 26 and for Vice-President Vance in 28.

This dipshit went from a 47% approval rating to 37% in less than a year. It's literally only the fact that the Dems are so laughably incompetent that this isn't hurting him more than it is. We're nearing Biden at the end of his term levels. Biden left office at 35.6% approval rating, the lowest it ever was in his term. You think this trend will just magically reverse? We can say "fake news this" and "fake news that" but he's completely shit the bed on the economy, the very think he was elected for. He's going to have to start posting major results and stat or else he's going to keep slipping. He's polling at -20 on the economy and -32 on inflation/prices. He was elected to boost the job market and cool prices and we haven't seen dick all about that. Sitting on laurels is going to be the slow death of the GOP. It's what killed the Dems. They got too comfortable and too confident that their shit didn't stink. It's literally the exact same thought process, "at least I'm better than that guy over there".

He and the rest of the GOP needs to pull their heads out of their asses if they think they won't start feeling this in 2026 and 2028. Trump and the GOP aren't untouchable.

Hey, all I’m saying is Trump needs to start showing results and fucking fast. He’s losing his support. Simply being “not that guy” is what has the Dems in their completely fucked scenario. He needs to be better than simply “not that guy.”

What about the deficit? What about the job market? Interest rates? Inflation, shit like that? He can’t take a page out of the Dem book by going “you can’t criticize me, because I’m not that guy.” That’s what fucked them. Don’t be surprised if American voters see the penny lose its shine if he doesn’t start posting big wins.

I swear to fuck, not understanding "per capita" will out you as a nignog every single time. ~9.6% of non-Hispanic whites are on food stamps. ~42-44% (depending on year) of Blacks are on food stamps. It's the bottom decile of the poorest whites compared to nearly half of all Blacks.

It's not the "overwhelming majority" of food stamp recipients. It's a third. Per capita, the whites are the second lowest users of food stamps just behind Asians. There's nearly 220 million Whites in America to around 41 million Blacks. Just about any statistic is going to have white people doing most of X because white people are most people.

I live in a place that's 75% White, 15% Asian, with a brown remainder mostly Indian. There's been a whole lot of nothing.

Any happenings in dark areas?

I think I figured it out. While shame has been replaced with entitlement it appears we are seeing a vestige of shame retroactively. The SNAP people like many here have said are not starving. They are mostly reacting with "ohh well the gravy train is over suprised that lasted as long as it did". They all sort of know that complaining will just draw advantage to how much they were exploiting us and get DOGE on their asses. They worry about the records of their spending being tracked retroactively and shared on fox news.
