from what i can tell it depends highly on the area you live. 300 dollars in california is not the same as 300 in a small town in georgia or in alaska. i grew up poor and am all too familiar with having to make what money you have stretch and i do agree that knowing how to cook can help massive amounts. however cooking has requirements.

you need gas or electric or some way to make a fire to heat the food and some people dont have any of that either they just get a house but nothing else. which makes even making soup a very annoying task. this is why i really think giving people MREs would be an amazing cost effective idea they come with a way to warm the food while not being crazy wasteful or unhealthy and even the most retarded person alive can figure out how to do it.

my parents told me about how in the old days you would just get a box with the bare necessities in it but it was enough that you could do quite a fair amount with it MREs would just improve on that old way of doing things i feel.

also genuine question but what do you think should be done about the mass amount of people who have zero idea how to even boil water? should there be some form of mandatory class all food stamp users have to complete?
They can fucking figure it out, these pieces of shit don’t need to be hand held in every aspect of their lives.
so i was thinking with how some states seem to be using their own funds to supply food stamps why do they not just do that from now on? let each state choose what they want to fund if they have the money to do so.

this is true however most jobs only hire the right type of american. gotta meet those diversity quotas after all. not to mention some places dont want anyone past a set age so good luck getting a fast food job if you are older than 18 they dont want you.

this is also not including the massive amount of entry level jobs that you need years of experience in for some reason. dont ask how you are supposed to get that amount of experience in those jobs if they wont even let you get your foot in the door though.
Indian H1b scamming so they can import more dirty jeets

the last box of boil in a bag white rice
Why did you even buy this? Here, I'll help you.

2 cups rice
3 3/4 cups water

AKA

4 ¾ dl (356 g) rice
8 ¾ dl (900 g) water

A pinch of salt
A few drops of oil

Add the rice, salt, and oil to the water, cover the pot, and bring to a SLOW boil. Simmer for 15 minutes. DO NOT STIR. Reduce heat until the water is barely bubbling, the absolute lowest heat, and cook an additional 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.

Or, alternately, just buy a cheap rice cooker. It will save you money, you'll have less microplastics in your food, and you will learn that rice is delicious. Also, different varieties of rice taste different. Basmati rice and jasmine rice taste MUCH better than that pasty instant rice you've been eating. Gross.

I think part of the job market problem is that actual qualifications are borderline irrelevant to getting hired. In a sane world, getting a job as (say) a pharmacist would require you to be good at pharmaceuticals. Now you don't need the skillset of a pharmacist, you need the skillset of "getting a job". Going to the right schools, formatting your resume so the AI notices you, being the right skin color, being able to figure out what irrelevant bullshit buzzwords an HR drone is looking for who has no idea what job they're even hiring for... being a good pharmacist barely matters.

But I'm not bitter.

Sounds like the shutdown is ogre
Result:
The agreement would fund parts of government — food aid, veterans programs and the legislative branch, among other things — and extend funding for everything else until the end of January. And it would take up Republicans on their longstanding offer to hold a future vote on the health care subsidies, with that vote occurring by the middle of December.
Complete Dem capitulation

Fox News is now reporting that they've reached a deal to reopen the government, but since the vote hasn't happened yet, they don't really know better than anyone else, so no need to link it. It's just an Instagram-style image post with no actual information in it.

Politico is now reporting the same.

Dems got the blue wave they wanted, so not that much of a loss.
NYC got a commie mayor, Bulbhead clan wars are brewing in Minneapolis over which blue to vote for, VA got a new AG that wishes conservatives dead and kicks dogs, and black people went mask off over the EBT shutdown thing with their judges really going overboard with their injunction that even Jackson had to step in. And they still lost on the issue they had a shutdown in the first place for. Demsisters stay winning!

2 years of applying and search for all T1 or entry level IT jobs has produced a single phone interview.

Post your resume, I refuse to believe that 2 years of job hunting resulting in one phone interview is anything but your own fault.
I second this.Could there be some other factor that is influencing your job search?Post resume(with appropriate redactions) please.

VA got a new AG that wishes conservatives dead and kicks dogs

The IT technician work experience is only recent.
Never have gotten any job through applying.

To add something more relevant, the drop off after getting $15 an hour for 16 hours/week goes from $298 to ~$100

Additionally does anyone know what other long term foods there are not filled with junk ingredients besides pasta and pasta sauce?
Is there any good foods for canning that have a long term (at least 2 year) shelf life?

I was buying it for my church’s food bank. I have enough rice at home to survive a race riot.

The government may or may not be paying out half or more of regular benefits during November.

Here are some hilarious chimp-outs I'm sure you will enjoy:

Riot in Walmart over SNAP benefits

Single mother on EBT loses benefits

More single mothers chimping out, Part 1

These people are just so grotesquely ignorant. Trump has no control over the budget until it’s time to sign off on it. He has nothing to sign because congress can’t agree on a budget. Liberals said themselves that this is the only time they’re gonna have this kind of “leverage”. These cunts in charge are literally using the threat of welfare niggers chimping out while they essentially hold the money hostage and once again nobody is holding them accountable. Jesus fucking Christ.

Don’t these idiots on SNAP realize how much worse it’s going to get for them when they’re replaced by illegal immigrants? They’re going to be fighting over dwindling resources, because none of these border jumpers even pays taxes to compensate for their use of benefits. They work under the table or part time, get free healthcare, snap, and then send the money they get back to their families while they continue to leech off the Americans they hate. How is it that people aren’t more pissed off by this?

Because they’re insufferable midwits and all they know is that orange Hitler is starving they keedz. I really hate this gay ass planet sometimes. I wish a spicy comet would knock us right the fuck out of the solar system. 🌎🤛☄️

This resume is not great. It's unpolished and doesn't say dick about any real experience you have, If this landed on my desk I wouldn't call you.

First, holy shit, take "Event Organizer" at "YouTube" off of it. Nobody gives a shit that you sweep up some streamers chat for zero remuneration. I can tell you are a sweaty neckbeard VTube enjoyer from this one item alone.

Replace this with your last job before you got into IT, even if it was flipping burgers. It's fine to not have always worked in IT, but being a youtube moderator is not a job. You can take that "Minecraft administration" and put it in a hobbies/extracurricular section or something at the very bottom. This shows you do tech stuff outside of work. Don't let it be the only thing there though, and they should all have relevance to your industry.

IT Technician -
You need to embellish these job duties more.
  • "Tested and verified hardware functionality".
    • What kind of hardware? How did you test it? Did you write the testing procedure?
  • "Installed and configured Windows, MacOS, and Linux"
    • For user laptops? Servers? Is this automated? Do you do it by hand?
How many users did you support? Did you help with onboarding? Do you work with other teams? What have you done that you would consider a personal accomplishment? Improving process, saving money, big projects, etc.

Associate-Internship -
Why Are All Your Sentences Capitalized Like This But Nothing Else On The Resume Is?

  • "Greeting Customers in a Friendly Manner".
    • This makes you sound like a Walmart greeter. Reword it or remove it. Being cordial and professional should be a given.
  • "Assisted Customers with Inquiries and Concerns"
    • Like what? How did you resolve their issue and what impact did that have? Did it drive customer satisfaction. Repeat for all duties.

Education
This section is mostly fine. I dont know if you got these "technical diplomas" at Redacted College. If not, don't make them a bullet point. Put them as a separate item under "Education" called "Professional Certifications". List them from most recently acquired to first acquired, just like your work experience. Include your cert number if possible and any expiration date.

Overall, you need to rewrite this resume and, for each job duty, tell me why I give a shit. What was the outcome? Why do I want someone like this on my team? You have in your "skills" section, that you have "adaptive problem-solving skills", but I dont see ANYTHING on this resume that was a problem solved.

Exaggerate and embelish, but dont flat out lie. You should be borderline bragging about what you do and nearly lying about how you saved the world by giving a newhire their laptop. The first person reading your resume will be HR. They won't know anything about anything technical, and can't tell what is BS or not. Only that your resume "looks nice" and "seems like a good fit!" After that you've got your foot in the door.

No, sadly. Theres a lot of “ghost jobs” out there where sure, you can find the job posting, and even apply, but you wont get hired.
A lot of them they've already decided they're going to hire some imported street shitter, but they put up the ad so they can plausibly claim they tried to find a candidate but couldn't find a qualified one.
