Do you mean jumping 50 meters into the air and slamming into the ground? The level design would have to be completely different and essentially not a soulsborne. And why couldn't we have some of those moves in ER?

Less that and more, "Why didn't we get the stake driver, that grappling hook, and the ability to vault walls?"Do you mean jumping 50 meters into the air and slamming into the ground? The level design would have to be completely different and essentially not a soulsborne.
They have already stated it will be at a similar cost as the dlc. $40 would be my expectation. This isn't a full flegged game, this isn't the A team, this isn't the future of fromsoft.I'm pretty skeptical this sort of thing can be adapted into a full scale $70 game since they're meant to be played for short periods of time.
Fair, but I still see it getting incredibly repetitive after a few rounds and not having any legs. They have already stated it will be at a similar cost as the dlc. $40 would be my expectation. This isn't a full flegged game, this isn't the A team, this isn't the future of fromsoft.
This is the equivalent of Captain Toad after Super Mario 3D World. A spinoff that takes advantage of already set up assets to do a curve ball. No need to read much more into it. I think it could be neat, but I can see why a ton of people would just not give a shit. Is it slop? Maybe, it's certainly derivative as fuck with it's inspirations, but it doesn't instantly make me think "this cannot be good" like MegaMan Soccer.
As for the lore people... my god, stop looking too much into shit. Lore in this game is just window dressing the barely justify things, there's no more to it. It's like giving a shit about the lore of a hero shooter.
I saw a reddit thread of the usual fromsoft cocksuckers insisting that anyone complaining is a fake fan. Call me crazy but the appeal of these games is making my own character and becoming the baddest man around with it. I hate fixed characters.I was willing to give this a shot until they told me we'd have to choose between 8 fixed characters rather than making one of our own. That shit is just anti-fun to me.
Honestly I'd be cool with a DLC that just adds a sort of official 'boss rush' or sort of survival mode with refixed bosses and several ported over from Dark Souls but this whole thing just feels like a cash grab.
Do you guys remember when a running jump in this series meant you had to stop and think for a minute, for fear of dying. You know like a fantasy adventure and not an anime action game?Do you mean jumping 50 meters into the air and slamming into the ground?
Soulsborne has become stale garbage there is no salvaging it because Nioh 1 & 2 already squeezed the remaining potential out of it with better combat. Classes have been the same fucking dogshit since demons souls and ds1, some don't even work like they once did. The age of Demon's Souls is over. May as well tear off the bandaid and give us something more than fucking rollslop DS3-ER dogshit. I still hate that its a constantly contracting map like a battle royale, it is most definitely a cash grab but also a chaotic mess of development idea wise so maybe it'll transform their games more than the stale design decisions have. Or maybe they'll double down on every worst aspect like what happened with DS2 vs DS3. People have been rapidly realizing that souls has become stale. The borne is barely souls since it was more an action game than souls.Do you mean jumping 50 meters into the air and slamming into the ground? I don't think anybody is expecting that, From included. I think it will do fine as in cover it's budget and rake in some extra shekels, but I would be very surprised if it moved any needle.I could be wrong though and maybe this will be a breakout hit. We'll have to wait and see.
Agreed, it's a bit of ahard to define factor, but some Roguelikes are just way easier to burn out on. Like Brutal Orchestra in comparison to Ring of Pain, which I would have liked more if it wasn't a roguelike.Fair, but I still see it getting incredibly repetitive after a few rounds and not having any legs.

Yes. Make a dungeon crawler with great worldbuilding and a world design itself or stick to mech games. Or do someyhing entirely new! Retards in this thread will be retards.Retvrn to basics. Might I suggest King's Field 5?
I wouldn't say return to basics. I saw a good metaphor about this kind of stuff, vertical vs horizontal escalation. The series has been relying on boss fights too much for its peaks in difficulty.Retvrn to basics. Might I suggest King's Field 5?
The rollslop weak action tryhard games are well deserved when you think about it. I hope Sony acquires Kadakowa and tanks the sacred cow that's been fromsoftware.
Its no longer baiting, I genuinely despise what became of the series and company enough to boldly state this. They've been driven into a design-by-comittee pipeline and not even AC6 was safe from retarded decisions like free stunlocks (posture breaks). They are really subpar. But their art design, boss hyperfocus and nonsensical "story"telling via random lore expo dumps on items holds them by their teeth. You will never see them make another actual hit deserving of the love. The only reason they're beloved is pretty much the goodwill of fans, and that is drying up when you notice the studio is not good at making various video games like their old staff pre-Demon's Souls. Their storytelling is becoming stale. Their reuse of ideas is becoming stale, their unoriginality pierces through. I have never seen their stories flop as hard as Elden Ring, and I doubt GRRM is to blame for whatever the Hell they ended up doing with his backstory (or lack thereof). They are not much better than modern companies. Gating cut content that should have been in the games behind dlc is more proof of it. It all started with DS1's stupid fucking Artorias dlc and they never recovered from the success either due to Bandai seeing golden bars or them getting cocky. You won't understand why I think this way until you finally have enough of the yellow vague mystery meat story chink slop. Their success doesn't help push modern vidya in a good direction contrary to what fans believe, it cements the stagnation of their formula now that Elden Ring "just works" and soon it will be like the state of the Bethesda defense force explaining away why their games all have the same fucking lazy design principles ad nauseum. Their formula is getting stale. Better cooks are needed in the kitchen. A hard crash and reset is necessary to save the company when it comes to making actually good games and fresh ideas.Nice b8 there m8 I r8 8/8
Aw, who am I kidding, this is a 3 at best.
